**_What's the job?_**

**Night Shift:** 12 hour rotating shifts; 7:00pm-7:00am (3 days one week, 4 days the next)
**Compensation:** Starting wage $21/hour **PLUS** a $2.00 shift differential
**Production Operator Duties:**
+ Follow and promote all safety rules and demonstrate knowledge of safe operating procedures
+ Work amongst continuous running production equipment
+ Maintain well organized and clean workstation in a 5S manufacturing environment
+ Update required documentation in support of efficient production processes and to ensure a quality product
+ Perform to all quality expectations, isolate and report all defects, ensure that product meets all dimensional and cosmetic standards, and adhere to all SOP standards
+ Communicate efficiently and professionally with coworkers, other shifts, and other departments
+ Utilize tap measure for quality checks and utilize computer systems/HMI screen regularly
+ Count and maintain accurate inventory records as needed
**Additional Skills:**

Our customer in Monroe, Wisconsin is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join their production team as Production Associates to work full-time on PM shift. As a Production Associate, you’ll play an essential role in the manufacturing process, supporting operations through product intake, quality testing, and system cleanings while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities of the Production Associate:

  • Retrieve samples from incoming trucks delivering product to intake bays.
  • Unload and perform Clean-In-Place (CIP) procedures on all tanker trucks in compliance with WDA standards.
  • Conduct quality tests on incoming whey loads, including pH, temperature, and peroxide testing.
  • Properly document all tanker truck CIP washes and results.

Job Description

The Production Operator is responsible for setting up, loading and operating production machines, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the product meets required specifications.  The Production Operator may work in one of three areas – Spooling, Stranding or Closing, and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machines. The Production Operator works under the direct supervision of a Production Supervisor and the technical oversight of the Process Engineering and Quality department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Record set-up information at the start of each order.
  • Remove empty bobbins from the previously completed order and load full bundles of wire or bobbins using appropriate lifting devices.
  • Weld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).
  • Thread machine by pulling wire or strands through guides, tension rollers, and/or stranding or pre-forming heads.
  • Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
  • Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
  • Adjust tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
  • Start lube pump as required by the order.
  • Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
  • Inspect the set-change, including cutting a strand for helix-height measurement before requesting approval from the production supervisor.
  • Properly tag product, stage in proper storage area, and record all production.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Perform all job duties in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.
  • Monthly Incentives - (opportunity to earn after probationary training period)
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Compensation:

$20.61/hr

$1.50 shift differential (if applicable)

+ Monthly Incentive Payments based on meeting operational metrics after 90-day probationary period is complete

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to work this schedule: Monday through Thursday from 7pm-5am  (Night Shift).

    • May need to train on our Day Shift for 3-4 weeks (M-TH 5am-3pm), or Weekend Shift (F-Su 5am-5pm).

  • Fluent in English

POSITION SUMMARY

Production Operators assist other members of the production team by operating, cleaning, preparing, repairing, and monitoring the production equipment used to mix, screen, blend, grind, mill, crush, and process bulk powder compounds. They mix and handle bulk materials, record information and observations relating to the production process, monitor processing parameters, and assist in process improvement initiatives and the work plan development process. This position is for the night shift which is 4 pm-4 AM Monday thru Thursday. 8 hours of OT guaranteed every week.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Process bulk materials as per customer specifications using blending, grinding, crushing, jet milling, filling, conveying, screening, etc. equipment
  • Monitor process parameters set forth in the work order documentation
  • Read, understand and use project order documentation, quality/safety/food safety checklists, and other documentation to set up and operate processing equipment.
  • Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards. Clean processing equipment and workstation(s) as required per SQF, GMP, and all associated cleaning and maintenance SOPs.
  • Maintain processing and cleaning equipment as required by associated SOPs
  • Assist with the re-assembly of processing equipment and it for its next use
  • Complete inventory, safety, quality assurance/order specific documentation as needed
  • Participate in departmental initiatives such as inventory counts, shop reorganization, and clean-up.

 The Department Lead position is responsible for assisting the Plant Management team in operating the plant in an efficient, productive and profitable manner. 

Shift: Night Shift available 

Pay:  Up to $27.00 per hour pending relevant experience + $2.50 / Hour night shift differential

Production Leads Responsibilities:

  • Know all jobs in assigned department and be able to perform those responsibilities in case of absence, labor shortages, etc.
  • Oversee and report on assigned department, employee functions, labor shortages and fill in for call-ins and break relief as needed.
  • Monitor track and report Plant CIP’s and Sanitation logs to ensure equipment & plant operates effectively.
  • Provide a positive example for other Team Members by practicing good personal hygiene and following any and all Food Safety Policies required by MSG. Ensure employees follow proper GMP and HACCP practices.
  • Inform Management with any information that impacts facility.
  • Monitor Incoming & Outgoing shipments.
  • Designate priorities for improving efficiency standards.
  • Perform cross-training of plant personnel and perform employee evaluations.
  • Maintain clean silos, lines and documentation for these.
  • Coordinate with other plant departments to identify and solve problems, improving plant productivity
  • Maintain awareness of new technology that will improve plant performance.
  • Aids with the implementation and the consistent enforcement of work rules, policies, protocols, specifications, and requirements identified by MSG

Production Leads Requirements:

  • 2- 3 years previous machine operator experience or equivalent skills in food production.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude. Licensed forklift operator or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, leadership abilities and production processing knowledge of the plant are required.
