We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Organizational Development Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and delivery of training and development programs that support the growth of our talent pipeline. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and facilitate leadership and team development programs that support AutoZone's strategic goals, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and high performance across all levels of the organization.
- Deliver dynamic in-person and virtual learning experiences that build leadership capabilities, enhance team effectiveness, and drive behavioral change through interactive facilitation and experiential learning techniques.
- Develop scalable, high-impact learning content using instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), ensuring alignment with adult learning principles and organizational needs.
- Create comprehensive learning materials including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, instructional design charts, and assessments using tools such as Articulate, Rise, and Adobe Captivate; continuously refine content based on learner feedback and performance data.
- Collaborate with HR and AutoZone business leaders to conduct needs assessments, identify skill gaps, and implement targeted development solutions that support talent readiness and organizational capability.
- Support succession planning and career pathing initiatives by contributing to the development of competency models, leadership pipelines, and growth frameworks that enable internal mobility and long-term talent sustainability.
- Contribute to performance management, AutoZoner engagement, and change management efforts, ensuring development programs are integrated into broader organizational strategies and initiatives.
- Manage multiple OD projects and learning initiatives, overseeing timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful execution and measurable outcomes.
- Track and analyze program effectiveness, using data to inform continuous improvement and demonstrate impact on individual, team, and organizational performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Learning/Instructional Design, Education/Instructional Technology, or related field is required
- Master's degree preferred
- Three (3) years' experience that includes web-based learning programs, administration of learning and content management systems, multimedia development, instructional design, web design, and video recording, production and editing
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects/work initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook Calendar tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, Copilot and PowerPoint
- Advanced ability in contemporary instructional design and graphics software applications (Captivate, Articulate Presenter and Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite or similar programs)
