Were building out our first fleet of retrofitted autonomous construction machines and were looking for a software engineer to lead the development of our embedded Linux OS. Your day to day will revolve around:

• Managing our embedded linux system including flashing, kernel customization, device drivers optimization, user space management, NVME
• Optimize the Linux system for our embedded platform (real time, C-groups, etc.)
• Closely work with our compute supplier
• Port real time OS to our safety compute
• Bring up GPUs on embedded systems, optimize communication, etc.
• ML library optimization (Cuda, Onxx, tensorflow, etc.)

• 10+ Years of experience in OS related work (Android, iOS), data center servers, robotics systems

• Background knowledge in sensor and compute system including cameras, lidars, radars, GNSS, IMUs, edge compute, and embedded controllers
• Optimization of camera / Lidar pipelines
• Experience with Rust programming language

• Based in Bay Area with ability to be onsite at our testing facility and SF office on a daily/weekly basis

Looking for a strong Z/OS Mainframe Systems Programmer. Candidate will serve as a Mainframe Engineer but will expect this person to provide specific expertise in one of the following areas: Mainframe Networking, Performance and Capacity reporting or BMC Mainview. In addition to expertise with one of those product candidates will need to be able to cover the following requirements:
The Mainframe Engineer III candidate must have experience in one or more of the following disciplines: z/OS installation and customization, storage management, hardware configuration, networking, performance management and capacity planning, or ISV installation and customization in a Parallel Sysplex environment. The candidate must be able to complete work on time in an ever-changing and complex environment and take direction from leaders and managers. Mentoring required in this role so mentoring skills and experience are desired. This position is part of a team that and the candidate must be willing to embrace being a team player.
Detailed Description:
This candidate will be filling an experienced systems mainframe engineer position. The candidate must have the following skills:
*Advanced or expert level SMP/E experience.
*Debugging and tuning experience.
*Creation of detailed documentation of procedures and practices.
*Change control in a regulated environment.
*Develop, document, and deliver pre- and post-implementation impacts of zSeries hardware and software.
*Recognize areas of improvement leading to elimination of reoccurring issues and reduce mean time to recovery.
*Provide technical direction and education to programmers, analysts and technical support associates.
*Provides 24x7 on call support within a team rotation.
Basic Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
*5-10 years of solid experience in z/OS engineering
Preferred Qualifications (candidate should have some of the following):
*Mainview installation, maintenance and customization.
*z/OS and zSeries hardware networking configuration.
*Performance and capacity reporting with zPCA and/or SAS/MXG and/or Intellimagic.
*zOSMF product installation and deployment.
*Experience with TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting.
*Experience with storage management.
*Performance management with WLM.
*Reporting and planning with zPCA and/or SAS/MXG
*Independent Software Vendor installation and maintenance
*z/OS installation, customization and maintenance.
*Coupling Facility updates.
*ChangeMan Administration.
*Managing multiple tasks and delivering on committed target dates.
*Coordinates with application programmers and users to determine symptoms and ensure accurate problem resolution.
*Knowledge of banking industry business processes a plus.
This is a remote role-hours worked will be EST.
