Summary:The OS Platform Engineer Lead will collaborate with business and marketing leaders, agency partners, IT, and analytics to provide digital acquisition marketing expertise and ensure that campaigns are executed flawlessly. This job requires daily contact with internal clients and external vendors to manage multiple digital acquisition programs, track campaign delivery, troubleshoot issues, optimize campaigns based on performance and analytics, and provide reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Mainframe engineer position.
+ Responsible for the overall health and performance of System z including DB2 for z/OS, CICS for z/OS, MQ for z/OS and z/OS Connect subsystems across multiple Sysplexes.
+ Manage overall platform documentation, reports including all KPIs, charts, end-to-end workflow diagrams of all Middleware software and hardware components.
+ Develop and present roadmaps for Middleware components.
+ Lead problem troubleshooting efforts and root cause analyses of all P1 & P2 System z related incidents.
+ Develop, document, and deliver pre- and post-implementation analysis of System z tech refreshes and application releases.
+ Eliminate reoccurring issues and drive down mean time to recovery.
+ Provide technical direction and education to programmers, analysts and technical support associates.
+ Prototypes the new features, functions, and strategies of new application subsystems technology.
+ Create the roadmap, processes, best practices, standards, and strategies for continuous improvement of monitoring, performance, resiliency, availability, and scalability of DB2, CICS and MQ on system z.
+ Technical lead, driving technical direction, owning the portfolio of technology, and growing the larger team.
+ Provides 24x7 on call support within a team rotation.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:

**What does a successful Senior z/OS Systems Engineer do at Fiserv?**

+ Utilize REXX, TSO, ISPF, DB2, batch JCL etc. to create interactive utilities and perform batch processing
+ Support existing in-house solutions that the team has implemented over the years.
+ Provide customer support for vendor provided applications, like JCK, Infoman, etc.
+ Perform Proof of Concept exercises for potential vendor provided applications
+ Seek opportunities to help other Fiserv associates and departments, by finding processes and tasks that can benefit by automation

**What you will need to have:**

+ 5+ years of experience with REXX, TSO commands, ISPF Dialog Tag Language, DB2, JCL, and SAS/WPS
+ 5+ years of experience with CA7, Control-M, Endevor, IDz, ADDI
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience

+ Working knowledge of z/VM and IBM z Virtualization, and OMVS segment/ z/OS UNIX shell

Mainframe z/OS Systems Engineer
**About your role:**
You wil be responsible for the installation, planning, design, management, configuration, implementation, of z/OS and z/OS based ISV software tools. This position is responsible for supporting existing z/OS systems while ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures; assists Operation and Development teams in problem determination and resolution; closely works with other teams in defining and implementing technical solutions to solve business needs and continuously seek operational and business improvements.

+ Install, maintain, and customize operating systems and 3rd party ISV system software.
+ Prepares and installs system software including OS and 3rd party packages by following vendor and location-specific installation procedures.
+ Work with senior team members to perform problem determination and resolution, capture and transmit system dumps, closely work with vendor's technical support, apply fixes and patches, coordinate testing and implementation of fixes and new versions, and work with other mainframe-based or midrange-based technical teams on production roll-out.
+ Work with internal customers to clarify technical requests, testing and validation, and project support needs.
