Job Description
Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and bedside instruction of emergency medicine residents and fellows, medical students interested in emergency medicine, and fellows and housestaff from other clinical departments.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing emergency medical care to patients presented to the emergency department at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include having a track record of extramural research grant funding, including federal "R01" or equivalent mechanisms, and have national recognition as experts in their field. Specific consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in: (1) injury prevention, (2) critical care and Resuscitation science, or (3) health services/population health. The clinical schedule for this position is offset by the establishment of independent funding support.
The Department of Emergency Medicine manages emergency services at three sites (Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania-HUP; Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center-PPMC; and Pennsylvania Hospital-PAH) with a combined annual emergency department census of 145,000 visits. Each site has a unique, diverse, highly acute patient population consisting of local and referral patients. Additionally, the Department collaborates with the Emergency Departments at Lancaster General Hospital, Chester County Hospital, and Princeton Medical Center.
Emergency Medicine has a 4 year, highly successful, academically oriented residency program with 46 residents, multiple fellowships, and several nationally acclaimed research programs housed within its Center for Resuscitation Science and the Center for Emergency Care Policy Research. There are over 80 faculty across the three primary academic sites and there are close academic affiliations and programmatic alliances with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The Department has active collaborations with other University of Pennsylvania Centers and schools such as the Penn Medicine Center for Healthcare Innovation, Wharton Business School, Leonard Davis Institute for Health Care Economics, and the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics among others.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**
The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology and the Sealy Center in Environmental Health and Medicine at the UTMB invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate level, for an independent investigator with training and experience in molecular toxicology or related fields focused on the impact of environmental agents on human disease.
The individual should have experience in the molecular mechanisms in toxicology involving high-priority or emerging environmental exposures associated with adverse human health outcomes. Priority will be given to candidates whose research focuses on the intersection of environmental factors and disease risk, particularly in relation to neurodegenerative diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other chronic conditions such as metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
The ideal candidate will establish a dynamic, extramurally funded and productive research program, engage in teaching and mentoring at the graduate and medical school levels and participate in collaborative interactions with basic and clinical environmental health scientists across UTMB and the Texas Medical Center. Additionally, the ideal candidate will work closely with the leadership and members of the newly restructured Sealy Center for Environmental Health and Medicine.
**_MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:_**
_._ Successful candidates must have a PhD or equivalent degree in, molecular pharmacology chemistry or an environmental health science related discipline, and a competitive record of publications and past/current funding. Experience, expertise, and a strong publication record in mass spectrometry methodologies or other advanced technologies applied to neuroscience are highly desirable.

The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is seeking a transitional care physician with particular interest in presurgical optimization and perioperative management to join our team at the Center for Perioperative Medicine (CPM). The Center for Perioperative Medicine is URMCs award-winning perioperative optimization clinic which provides care for over 70,000 surgical and procedural patients each year. This role would involve collaboration to develop novel care pathways for a variety of perioperative patients, including ambulatory orthopedic joint arthroplasty patients, under the support and direction of the Director of the CPM. We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and creative physician with a background in either internal medicine, family medicine, internal medicine-pediatric medicine, or emergency medicine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for perioperative evaluation, risk assessment, and patient optimization across our tertiary and community hospitals, as well as our ambulatory surgical centers. Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills are essential. A successful candidate will:
