**Chemicals Intern Position Summary**
Under general supervision of New Product Development Laboratory and Projects Manager, the intern will complete a variety of assignments to provide general support to the Research and Development group. Assignments will make a positive contribution to Oatey as well as provide the student with "hands-on" work experience.
**Expectations & Accountabilities.**
+ Assist chemists/chemical engineer/lab manager with the preparation of project records and documentation.
+ Participate in product development projects including making and testing lab scale mixes to industry standards.
+ Analyze products using Gas Chromatograph, Brookfield Viscometer, TGA/DSC, Texture Analyzer, FTIR etc.
+ Benchmark testing of current products vs competitor products.
+ Test new raw materials and record data.
+ Project work may include testing samples from manufacturing to verify capability.
+ Administrative and chemical inventory function.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**What you'll need to be successful.**
+ **Education and Certification:** Enrolled in an undergraduate chemistry or chemical engineering program with completion of at least four (4) semesters.
+ Excellent analysis skills.
+ Experience working with Excel and other Microsoft applications.

The Operations Specialist, Pine Chemicals is a supply chain role with expansive responsibilities including elements of procurement, order management, transportation planning, inventory control, and logistics. This role may require travel to North American mills and other domestic locations <10%.
**The Job You Will Perform:**
+ Safety leadershipwith regards to the handling, loading/unloading, and transloading of Black Liquor Soap, Crude Tall Oil, and Crude Sulfate Turpentine, maintaining active DOT HAZMAT certification. Shares safety learnings and best practiceswith suppliers, customers, transportation providers, mill operation teams and HSE support toreduce NARs and overloaded HAZMAT shipments to zero. _(Ensures Accountability, Collaborates)_

**The Job You Will Perform:**
The Pine Chemicals Recovery Engineer is responsible for all aspects of process improvement for black liquor soap, tall oil, and turpentine recovery and production. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
+ Championing, and executing the identification, evaluation and process improvement of all mill operations that impact Turpentine collection, BLS Recovery and CTO conversion.
+ Providing expert technical advice on the operation of equipment including: condensers, decanters, skimmers, pumps, mixers, reactors, separators, instruments and control logic.
+ Ensuring data driven Manufacturing Excellence principles are fully utilized in the identification of realizable gaps and development of plans to achieve targeted improvement and results.
+ Educate and reinforce work practices for pine chemicals with operating staff, maintenance staff, and senior leaders, both on the job or in a classroom situation.
+ Prioritizing your services to multiple mills based on your in depth understanding and tracking of energy, chemicals, raw materials, reliability, productivity, and quality.
+ Demonstration of leadership in the area of safety and support broad based participation in the mill's safety process.

Job Description
The Regional Account Manager - Northeast will be responsible for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region of the US tasked with managing and growing a territory for customers in the Pharma, Food and Beverage, Food Ingredients, and Personal Care and related markets. This role is 100% remote and will require heavy travel within the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic territory.
This person must have strong relationship building skills, technical value based selling skills, and a hunter mentality to win new business from current and new customers. This person must be based in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeast United States.• Full ownership over the Northeast regional territory focusing on customers in the pharma, personal care, food and beverage and related sectors.
• Manage and grow existing client accounts with a value-based problem solving approach
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the Northeast region expanding into new customers and applications
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Negotiate pricing and terms of sales with new and existing customers
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and deliver tailored solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales activities in CRM tools.
• Provide market insights and feedback to support product development and marketing strategies.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand presence.
• Prepare and present reports on sales performance and forecasts to management.
• Work with Sales Leadership and Business Line Product Managers providing feedback on what products are needed from customers to prepare for demand

The Successful Applicant
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
• 3-7 years of strategic sales and business development experience within the specialty chemical space selling to food and beverage, pharm, personal care, and related industries
• Experience selling to customers up and down stream - manufacturers and suppliers (ingredients suppliers and producers for example)
• Proven track record of developing and implementing a strategic business development and sales plan
• Value based selling approach with a problem-solving approach and mentality
• Analytical and organizational skills
• Strong presentations and communication skills required
• Experience working in a global organization preferred
• Ability to travel 50% domestically within territory
