· Perform accurate weighing and counting of all materials as directed.

· Conduct weighing and counting of items for distribution.
· Ensure supply levels of materials and equipment are adequate, recommending re-order when necessary.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ High school diploma required.
+ A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Stockroom/warehouse environment is preferred.

The base compensation range for this position is $23.00 to $25.00 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.

**Summary**
Perdue Farms in Perry, GA is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Supervisor. The DC Supervisor manages daily operations of hourly associates who are responsible for the receiving, storage, inventory, and shipping of finished, WIP, and other goods to and from the plant and the DC. This role ensures compliance of all necessary trainings and certifications, including but not limited to safety, MHE, shipping procedures and policies, QA procedures and policies, etc. The Distibution Center Supervisor provides administrative and/or clerical support generally to specific department and works under moderate supervision.
**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
**Safety and Risk Management**
+ Enforce safety protocols, team compliance with safety standards and a safe working environment for all associates.
+ Conduct regular safety training, risk assessments and incident investigations to prevent workplace injuries.
+ Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure team compliance with Safety Standards.
**Food Safety and Quality Standards, Regulatory and Environmental Compliance and Continuous Improvement**
+ Maintain compliance with all food safety regulations and company policies, including HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation protocols, to maintain a safe and high-quality production environment.
+ Ensure all products meet or exceed established quality specifications through rigorous adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Lead corrective actions non-compliance and drive initiatives to reduce waste, contamination risks and product recalls.
+ Implement and monitor quality control processes, including inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
+ Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA, ISO standards, and industry-specific requirements.
+ Lead corrective actions for non-conformances and drive initiatives to reduce waste, contamination risks, and product recalls.
+ In collaboration with leadership, execute lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to boost operational efficiency and product quality.
+ Verify the facility adheres to all relevant environmental laws and regulations including those related to air and water quality, waste disposal and hazardous management.
**People Development, Engagement and Leadership**
+ Mentor and coach team members on enhancing skills while managing performance and learning and development of the team.

**Production Oversight**
+ Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules, customer specifications, output goals and quality standards.

+ Optimize labor, raw materials and equipment usage to ensure cost-effective operations while meeting production standards.
**Reporting and Communication**
+ Maintain accurate production records including output, quality metrics and associate performance and attendance.
+ Provide regular updates to management on production status, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
+ Act as a liaison between production teams and other departments such as engineering, quality assurance and supply chain.
**Minimum Education and Experience**
**Required:**
High School Diploma/GED and a **minimum of 2-3 years** in a manufacturing environment with **1+ year in a supervisory role** .
Bachelors/Associates degree candidates with no manufacturing experience must have at least 1+ years of supervisory experience.
**The ideal candidate will have:**
+ **An Associates or Bachelors Degree (highly preferred)**
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on associate development
+ In depth knowledge of quality control processes and compliance standards (i.e. ISO, OSHA, etc.)
+ Awareness and willingness to learn lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
+ Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
+ Familiarity with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
**Preferred:**
+ Poultry or Protein production experience
+ Experience in CFS, SAP, YMS, and Ultraship
+ Knowledge of standard software applications, such as Microsoft Office.
+ Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, OSHA 10/30 or similar certifications
**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
1. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
2. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
3. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. **Job Responsibilities:**
+ Supervises a group of Team Members in a designated functional area in the Distribution Center. Monitors team members' productivity and work quality, and manages performance using the tools available including progress summaries, retraining, job performance assessment, performance improvement plan and other disciplinary actions as needed.
+ Mentors team members through on-the-job training. May collaborate with DC Trainer on conducting new team member orientation, including completion of training checklists. Conducts 15 minute Observe, Coach, and Recognize (OCRs) sessions, as necessary. Responsible for recommending and assisting in the development of training curricula.
+ Conducts MBWA (Management by Walking Around) to ensure team member safety, address team member concerns, communicate essential information, and to enforce distribution center guidelines.
+ Establishes and cultivates morale and engagement of team members. Encourages team member participation in workplace activities and events. Establishes and directs positive communication channels between cross-functional teams.
+ Enters daily performance forecast into the DC productivity/efficiency report (E.g. DC Big Boy). Utilizes and updates system computer applications for proper operation and reports. Leverages all performance management, KPI, DC Balancing and Flow and other reports as applicable to manage daily DC functional area performance.
+ Ensures compliance with all Centers of Excellence SOP's for each applicable functional area.
+ Advocates and actively participates in continuous improvement culture, particularly LEAN initiatives in order to improve processes and continually drive out waste.
+ In collaboration with management, measures performance compliance and requirements and directs appropriate actions by team members and equipment to maintain performance at or above required levels.
+ Maintains appropriate and required records for team members, equipment and KPI's under their responsibility.
