The **Staff Engine Design Engineer - Architect** plays an important role in advancing the design and performance of internal combustion engines (ICE), through engine design, data-driven analysis, simulation, and design of system components. PDS Tech Commercial is looking for an experienced **Aircraft Engine Technician** to join our Wichita team. Your expertise will ensure turbine engines, APUs, and related systems operate at peak performance-keeping aircraft safe, reliable, and ready for flight.
**What You'll Do**
+ Inspect engines, APUs, and aircraft systems per approved maintenance manuals.
+ Install, remove, modify, and repair turbine engines, APUs, and airframe components.
+ Conduct operational checks, functional tests, and complete engine runs.
+ Perform off-aircraft component repairs and support NDT processes.
+ Operate and maintain ground support equipment and industrial vehicles.
+ Maintain and track personal tools.
+ Adhere to environmental, safety, and **5S** standards.
**What You Bring**
**Required:**
+ **MUST HAVE FAA Powerplant License**
+ Proficiency with turbine engine maintenance and repair.
+ Ability to read and follow technical manuals and regulatory procedures.
+ Effective communication skills in English.
+ Physical ability to safely operate equipment and perform hands-on maintenance.
**Preferred:**
+ Off-aircraft engine/APU repair experience.
+ Familiarity with aircraft engine run procedures.
+ Basic PC skills for documentation.
