**Strategic Legal Leadership**
+ Serve as chief legal advisor to the CEO, Executive Council, and Board of Directors.
+ Provide strategic counsel on corporate governance, compliance, enterprise risk, litigation, M&A, financing, labor and employment, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory issues.
+ Ensure legal perspectives are embedded in strategic planning, operations, and decision-making.

+ Serve as the GE Appliances Chief Compliance Officer.
+ Oversee corporate governance matters, including Board and committee support, fiduciary duties, ethics, and reporting.
+ Lead enterprise-wide legal risk assessment and mitigation frameworks, ensuring compliance with U.S. and global regulatory requirements.
+ Manage litigation, disputes, and investigations to protect the company's assets, brand, and reputation.

**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
**Education & Licensure**
+ Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
+ Member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar; eligible for admission in Kentucky.
**Experience**
+ At least 15 years of broad-based global corporate legal experience, including top law firm training.
+ Substantial in-house experience required; prior General Counsel or Deputy GC experience strongly preferred.
+ Proven expertise in global corporate governance, complex commercial transactions, M&A, litigation management, and regulatory compliance.
+ Experience advising Boards of Directors and senior leadership of global, consumer-facing, or manufacturing organizations a clear advantage.

An individual hired for this position will serve as a secretary for assigned legislative committees during the Legislature's annual general session. This position will require work, for extended hours, from approximately mid-January through the first week of March 2026.
ResponsibilitiesEXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Attend legislative committee meetings
- Prepare minutes of and record votes taken in committee meetings
- Provide support for policy analysts and fiscal analysts to meet committee needs

- Being a trusted advisor helping investment professionals review and negotiate complex, multi-million dollar domestic and foreign investments including First Lien, Second Lien, Senior Unsecured, Unitranche, Mezzanine, HoldCo PIK, Preferred Equity, Common Equity, Structured and Project Finance, Private Credit, Limited Partnerships and/or Syndicated Bank Loans; and
