In this role you will have the opportunity to lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives that address critical challenges to the firm.

As a Vice President on the Commercial & Investment Bank Strategy team, you will lead mission-critical projects, including but not limited to: assessing growth opportunities strategies - geographic, industry or product; putting together strategic roadmaps by identifying unmet or emerging client needs; refining client segmentation and/or client coverage models; understanding emerging trends or new entrants; assessing operating models, including redesign or automation; and supporting the creation of CEO-level executive communications. Job responsibilities:

• Lead initiatives/projects to resolve diverse problems identified by senior managers of the Corporate & Investment Bank
• Lead teams of 1-3 junior strategists to develop solutions in partnership with business leaders
• Develop "trusted advisor" relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
• Gather, synthesize, and creatively analyze data (e.g., financial modeling, valuation analysis) to provide insights, identify issues and arrive at recommendations
• Develop strategic presentations for both internal and external audiences
• Monitor industry trends and shares insightful reports and analyses with broader team and with senior executives
• Coach and mentor less experienced colleagues
• Create and/or contribute to an environment of collaboration and mutual responsibility
• Simultaneously work on multiple projects across the CIB organization

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• At least 6 years of experience from either a premier management consulting firm with experience as a Manager/Engagement Manager/Project Leader, or, investment banking (e.g., M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets) division with experience as a Manager
• Diverse strategic problem solving experience, such as leading multiple CEO/CFO level programs across the financial services sector
• An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), influence senior business leaders, work well in cross-functional teams
• Passion to foster an environment of active feedback and continuous development
• Track record of demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Experience in financial services industry
• MBA or an advanced business degree from a top-tier program
• If coming from investment banking, Financial Institutions Group (FIG) experience preferred
