The **RF Satellite Engineer** position at **MacDill AFB, FL** supports the Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSM-O II), Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE). The JCSE team provides en-route, early entry, scalable C4 support to Regional Combatant Commands, Special Operations Command, and other agencies. In this role, you will be responsible for new capability requirements and design, system assessments, and providing hands-on engineering support. Key elements of this position include: Providing SATCOM Engineering support with design, engineering, configuring and documentation for SATCOM modems, terminals, and RF waveform; support the development of new solutions, testing and validation along with RMF framework; and provide overall TIER III support of RF/Satellite systems. **U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance is required.**
**Daily Responsibilities:**
+ Engineer, install, integrate, operate, and maintain RF communications, including Wi- Fi, 3G and 4G LTE, LOS, HF BLOS, and SATCOM radios, into NIPRNet and SIPRNet IP-based communications networks.
+ Engineer, install, integrate, operate, and maintain BGAN and VSAT solutions. Conduct RF surveys as required.
+ Utilize RF test equipment, design RF experiments to serve as proof of concept of proposed long-distance radio links, and interface computers and other IP network-based equipment with radio systems and networks.
+ Operate and troubleshoot radios using the ANW2, IW, HPW, and DAMA waveforms. Install, operate, and maintain satellite dishes up to 4 meters. Analyze, evolve, operate, and sustain wireless communications networks.
+ Conduct traffic analysis, system design and dimensioning, radio site identification, evaluation and zoning support, frequency planning, interference analysis and performance optimization for JCSE's tactical radio systems.
+ Calibrate, employ, and collect data from the RF design and optimization equipment and software. Evaluate candidate radio sites and make recommendations based on mission requirements and the RF environment.
+ Support leasing/zoning teams.
+ Create and maintain engineering drawings for JCSE's tactical radio system employment, performance and configuration.
+ Create design criteria, system dimensioning requirements, link budgets and traffic analysis based on the RF environment associated with JCSE missions.
+ Perform frequency and Base Station Color Code (BCC) planning.
+ Perform inter-modulation analysis for co-locating multiple RF systems.
+ Perform and document optimization techniques to include proper antenna selection for optimal horizontal/vertical performance, mechanical/electrical tilting, appropriate transmit power setting, antenna clearance, and neighbor list analysis) for optimal site/cluster performance.
+ Define and document processes and procedures for RF engineering tasks. Create, document, and communicate to JCSE's engineering lead information on proposed system upgrades, estimated costs, schedules, and project plans to accomplish the system upgrades or modifications within budget and schedule constraints.
+ Provide Tier II and escalate to Tier III level support for JCSE's RF systems and components as needed. Provide technical support for the vulnerability and risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
+ Provide technical support for the IA Cell to create and maintain JCSE IA processes and procedures regarding JCSE's computer network defense in-depth protection for the JCSE enterprise.
+ Perform and support updates to and maintenance of the POA&Ms for the JCSE Enterprise. Support development of RMF Security Plans.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)
+ Education: BS Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of relevant experience. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.

+ At least 6 years experience working on a Government or Commercial satellite program as a lead system engineer or subject matter expert

This position is for a Satellite SETA Program Manager for a large, multi-year contract supporting a cutting-edge and innovative space program. The Satellite SETA Program Manager must possess, and have successfully demonstrated, Contracts Office Technical Representative expertise, experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance. The Satellite SETA Program Manager will partner with the Government PM and subsystem Subject Matter Experts (SME) to effectively plan, organize and execute all acquisition activities across the system life cycle.
**Role Responsibilities**
The Satellite SETA Program Manager provides leadership and support to the customer's execution of the Program with responsibilities that may include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Partner with Government Program Manager to plan, execute, and oversee Developer contract activities.
+ Manage and report budgetary needs and oversee Developer contract financial performance, including EVM, obligations, and executions.

**Qualifications**

+ Government or Commercial experience as a COTR, PM, PEM or acquisition leader. Acquisition, PM, and COTR certification is desired.
+ Budgetary, financial and EVM experience.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Satellite Electrical-Mechanical Technician in our EMS Space Systems Division in Centennial, Colorado.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ The Satellite Technician has a broad knowledge base spanning from electrical and mechanical assembly to advanced electronics and test instrumentation.
+ Functioning with minimal supervision and working independently, this position fabricates, modifies, assembles, installs, operates, repairs, and maintains test equipment.
+ Assists with complex tests and development activities. Records, evaluates, and reports data to test team.
+ Summarizes test data via written tabulation, charts, and graphs, and prepares written reports.
+ Under moderate supervision, assists Manufacturing and Test Engineers in the execution of assembly and integration, and test procedures for spacecraft and other related assemblies.
+ Work with Test and Design engineers to help troubleshoot failures.
+ Builds and maintains mechanical and electrical ground support equipment necessary for the operation and testing of satellites and other space systems, including but not limited to lifting, holding, and rotation fixtures, test bench setups, thermal vacuum chamber operations, vibration tables, fluid mechanics, data acquisition and closed loop heater control.
+ Maintains equipment and systems, implementing modifications and engineering changes as necessary. Identifies operational problems and reports deficiencies.
+ Working knowledge and understanding of ISO 7/8 requirements and working standards.
+ Provides training to lower-level technicians in work area.
+ Understands all applicable processes and procedures and provides continual input to improve and streamline those processes. Maintains a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures, workmanship standards, and best practices.

SAIC is seeking an Electro-optical (EO) Satellite Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support the NRO Electro-Optical System Program Office (ESPO). Qualified candidates must possess demonstrated electro-optical satellite experience and be able to provide technical and programmatic insight on the wide variety of satellite capabilities & activities. The successful candidate will work both independently and in a team-based environment.
Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Directly support ESPO as the office responsible for the design, development, manufacturing, integration & test, and launch & initialization of Electro-Optical satellites for the NRO.
+ Assist in managing requirements development, flow-down and traceability. Assist with ensuring compliance to interfaces and standards or ensure appropriate deviations/waivers are in place.
+ Evaluate system and subsystem designs, as necessary, to determine if the design is adequate to meet program requirements.
+ Participate in assessing power, weight, cooling and other space vehicle design constraints as the design matures through its phases. Identify technical design risks and support development of corrective action plans.
+ Participate in Failure Review Boards (FRBs) to troubleshoot and resolve anomalies and test failures. Develop mitigation plans and identify impacts to subsystem, spacecraft, and mission performance.
+ Assist with acquisition planning, documentation, and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) evaluations. Assist, as needed, in Government source selections and the technical evaluation of satellite provider proposals.
+ Work in an interactive team environment with Government customer leads, commercial satellite developers, and other subject matter experts.
**Qualifications**
+ BS in Optical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar technical discipline
+ 5 years experience working on electro-optical satellite programs and have a solid understanding of various satellite flight sciences (reliability, power, power, weight, cooling, maintainability, etc.)
+ Have strong familiarity with electro-optical system & subsystem functionality, performance, and product data.
+ Electro-optical satellite acquisition experience, specifically writing and evaluating requirements, and assessing development contractor performance.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ MS in Engineering, Physics, or similar technical discipline
+ Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP).
