Position Description Summary/Purpose:
This part-time, in-person position provides frontline support for the University of Bridgeport's main phone line, as well as the primary line for the Admissions team. The role also serves as the receptionist for the Office of Human Resources and Community Culture, which includes HR, Student Employment, and Title IX & Equity. Scheduled hours are Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

•Answer and route incoming calls on multi-line phone systems, including main University and departmental lines.
•Serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional presence at the front desk.
•Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
•Process invoices for HR department and maintain electronic files accordingly.
•Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and preparing documents.
•Assist the Student Employment office by greeting students and making copies of documents for I9 verification as needed.
•Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to University policies and procedures.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
•Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed.
Other Functions:
•Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
•Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
•Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Affinity Engagement, the Director will guide the vision and daily operations of the BAA, a vital organization that advances scholarship, mentorship, and engagement opportunities for the Trojan family. This role leads fundraising efforts to support current-use scholarships and grow the BAA's $6 million endowment; oversees the BAA Advisory Council; and manages selected full-time staff who coordinate BAA programs and events. **Bonus: $1000! ($00 bonus after 60 days and 500 after 90 days)**
**Shift: Monday-Friday 5am-1:30pm**
Pay: 16.00 per hour

This will require the right candidate to have:

+ Reliable - a record of being on time In this fast-paced environment -You need to be able to: - Perform all necessary job duties - including vacuuming, mopping, polishing floors, dusting, taking trash out, cleaning bathrooms as well as all other custodial duties at a high level of customer service - In addition you will be cleaning and decontaminating offices and labs - Be able to stand, bend and lift to 25 pounds on an 8-hour shift
