Key Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Investment Strategy & Execution:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Venture Fund US and the global Head of Venture Fund to develop and refine investment strategies, identify investment target opportunities, build pipelines, and present investment cases to the Investment Committee.

  • Define the scientific focus, financing, and exit strategies for portfolio companies - often as lead investor.

  • Lead negotiations with target companies and co-investors, including term sheet discussions, drive all due diligence activities and prepare all necessary documentation for investment decisions.

  • Portfolio Management:

  • Actively manage a portfolio of investments by serving as a Board Director for portfolio companies, guiding their strategy, and mentoring founders to maximize success.

  • Sourcing & Networking:

Requirements

+ Analyze financial and operational data from portfolio companies to support investment decisions and ongoing valuation processes.
+ Create dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators and deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
+ Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and communicate findings to investment, operations, and leadership teams.
+ Coordinate with third-party service providers on fund operations, including capital activity, fund administration, and periodic investor reporting.
+ Maintain cash flow forecasts, manage capital planning, and organize investment-related documentation.
+ Support audit, tax, and regulatory compliance processes in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
+ Assist with investor relations, including the preparation of fundraising materials and responses to due diligence requests.
+ Monitor overall fund performance and expenses, ensure data accuracy, and contribute to the improvement of internal processes and controls.
Requirements
- At least of 7+ years of combined public accounting and VC/PE experience and a personality type of taking initiative and having ownership of your work.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. CPA is preferred but not required.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, macros, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with SQL or other database query languages is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

**Responsibilities** :
+ Participate in client engagements by providing corporate, partnership and individual tax services; devise, plan and execute tax strategies and research potential tax issues.
+ Prepare and/or review returns for corporate, partnership, or individuals, including federal, foreign, state and local tax return, estimated payments and extensions.
+ Build relationships with existing clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
+ Provide both leadership and supervision to Tax Staff
**Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; Master of Tax preferred
+ Minimum of 2 years of related experience
+ Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
+ CPA or licensed attorney preferred. If not a CPA or licensed attorney, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA or attorney license in state of employment upon hire
+ Proficient in corporate, partnership and individual taxation
+ Ability to travel to client locations which may include occasional overnight stays
+ Motivated to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service
+ Experience managing multiple client engagements
+ Creative problem solving and research skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

+ Provide both leadership and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff
**Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; Master of Tax preferred
+ Minimum of 4 years of related experience
+ Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
+ Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA required
+ Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience
+ Proficient in corporate, partnership and individual taxation
+ Prior experience working with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred
+ Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
+ Strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
