Job Summary:
The OTR - Tractor Trailer Driver is responsible for safely driving/controlling the Brink's vehicles to and from various customer pick-up and delivery locations. This position requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink's and its customers, as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Brink's and its customers. In addition the position will interface with other BGS Internal branches, with division customers and where necessary perform security and safety functions at said locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the safety, security and control of the tractor trailer unit at all times
  • Guard the Messenger/Co Driver during the actual delivery or pick up of valuables at a customer's location.
  • Maintain radio communication with the Co-Driver/Messenger and/or other vehicle crew and with dispatch personnel/branch personnel throughout the delivery/shipping process.
  • Ensure the safe and secure loading and offloading of the tractor trailer.
  • Report all faults experienced during the trip/day's activity and ensure that all information is transmitted to branch leadership
  • Complete appropriate driving route documentation
  • Ensure overall cleanliness of the vehicle's interior
  • Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least one (1) year of Tractor Trailer / OTR driving experience
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements
  • A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
  • A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses


Preferred Qualifications:
  • OTR long distance Tractor Trailer experience in a related industry
  • Worked in an environment servicing a diverse customer base with sensitive requirements including time and value of cargo.

  • Superior personal integrity and professionalism

  • Load trucks with front-end loaders and tarping of the product.
  • Understand daily requirements and priorities.

  • Operate loaders and other heavy equipment as needed.
  • Inspect, maintain and ensure safe operation of all equipment.
  • Know and follow all state and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • General office duties, pick up parts, safety audits, operator training, or parts inventory as needed

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Current Class A Driver's License with Doubles and Tankers endorsement.
  • Current DOT Physical and Medical card.
  • Qualifying DMV Driving History.
  • High School Diploma or general education (GED) or equivalent experience
  • Prior CDL experience and heavy equipment operator experience preferred

+ Consults with customers pertaining to load conditions, drum counts or paperwork inconsistencies to ensure that materials can be properly transported to designated site(s)

+ Responsible for assisting with housekeeping as required.

Job Summary: The OTR - Tractor Trailer Driver is responsible for safely driving/controlling the Brink's vehicles to and from various customer pick-up and delivery locations. This position requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink's and its customers, as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Brink's and its customers. In addition the position will interface with other BGS Internal branches, with division customers and where necessary perform security and safety functions at said locations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the safety, security and control of the tractor trailer unit at all times Guard the Messenger/Co Driver during the actual delivery or pick up of valuables at a customer's location. Maintain radio communication with the Co-Driver/Messenger and/or other vehicle crew and with dispatch personnel/branch personnel throughout the delivery/shipping process. Ensure the safe and secure loading and offloading of the tractor trailer. Report all faults experienced during the trip/day's activity and ensure that all information is transmitted to branch leadership Complete appropriate driving route documentation Ensure overall cleanliness of the vehicle's interior Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: At least one (1) year of Tractor Trailer / OTR driving experience Be at least 21 years of age Valid Class A CDL Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses Preferred Qualifications: OTR long distance Tractor Trailer experience in a related industry Worked in an environment servicing a diverse customer base with sensitive requirements including time and value of cargo. Job Details Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly Description POSITION DETAILS The purpose is to acquire relevant sensor data for the next generation of ADAS Sensors in the US. This is an OTR (over-the-road) position and drivers will be out on the road up to a month at a time. Main Duties & Responsibilities *
  • Each vehicle will have both a driver and operator during testing and will swap out roles per project requirements. * Driving test with trailer will take place around Belmont, CA. Various trailers will be tested to see the potential impact on ADAS systems. * Data collection will be automatic with simple push button operation. There will be an iPad or other equipment for tagger to write notes during driving. * Responsible for "tagging" scenarios of interest on a switchboard within the vehicle. This is a simple way to keep a log of interesting events observed during the test drive, e.g., going over a bridge, or through a tunnel, etc. * Data will need to be uploaded on daily basis or at other frequency as requested. * Drivers/operators must be able to copy data from one computer directory to another. * Drivers/operators must be able to manage the data Storage (Storage Boxes) and will be responsible to remove the storage medium, pack it, and send it to client data center via parcel service. * Drivers/operators must be able to start and operate the measurement equipment based on a checklist. An initial introduction / training will be given at the beginning of the project in Belmont, CA. * Drivers/operators must report issues and provide simple support tasks for remote diagnosis, e.g., unplugging a clearly defined cable or pressing a switch. * Employees will be responsible for driving a mix of conventional and fully electric prototype vehicles provided by client with additional sensors, measurement equipment, PC, monitor, etc. used for data collection and road validation. * Must attend daily end of shift status meeting to discuss any issues/concerns/route completion, etc. with client. * The driver of the vehicle must act in a responsible and respectful demeanor as not to damage the reputation of our customer or Kett. * * Project kick-off / initial training location: * Testing will happen on both coasts, simultaneously * Schedule/Shift Hours: * Each vehicle will operate 6 days/week Monday - Saturday, 8.5 shift (8 hours paid) * Hours will vary, depending on the testing of the day * Shift times and schedule are subject to change to meet data collection requirements * Driving locations/Routes: * Throughout U.S. * Over the road Qualifications
