Business Operations Consultant/Project Director

Design, build, implement, train and evaluate customized solutions and advice that assist organizations in improving productivity and increasing revenues, and that positively impact overall performance. Solution implementation will encompass business development, organizational engineering, process management and financial systems. The Project Director is responsible for the client relationship from the origination of the opportunity to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the completed body of work. Responsibilities include client financial improvement, client relationship management and project management.

Position Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver quantifiable and sustainable value for clients that are reflected through the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, as well as quality of life. This is achieved through the successful development, implementation, training and evaluation of solutions to client challenges.

Oversee the identification and communication of work to be completed on behalf of the client. Responsible for clear and concise communication with assigned Assistant Director or Sr. Project Director.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel onsite with clients (100% travel requirement).

Authorized to work in the United States.

Minimum of four years of consulting experience with a proven track record of delivering value for clients.

Administrative duties completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal.

Valid state issued drivers license and current auto insurance.

Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Suite, financial software, dashboards, CRMs and PM software)

Proven fiduciary responsibility, successfully managing a budget of 10M+, preferred.

Prior business ownership, preferred.

**Pay Range** : $3,000 - $5,000 for a 3-credit hour course. Pay rate is dependent upon (a) the number of courses taught, (b) the type of courses taught (e.g. undergraduate, graduate), and (c) the education level held by the lecturer. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
Because this appointment is temporary in nature, you will not be eligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided to faculty under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs ( . You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave, medical, or retirement benefits. However, you are eligible to accrue sick leave at 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.

**Summary**
The College of Business and Administration ( at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of **Lecturers in** **Operations Management & Project Management** from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.
This position will teach Operations Management and Project Management classes. For example, Fundamentals of Operations Management, Managing Projects for Competitive Advantage, Project Estimation and Risk Management. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid.
This is a revolving Lecturer Pool for the College of Business. If there is a course opening and your qualifications match a course and the minimum requirements, you may be contacted at that time.

Job Description:

Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor and is responsible for managing two or more of the following activities related to operations: manufacturing, production planning, manufacturing engineering, test, quality, or shipping/receiving/stores. Requirements:

Requires Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Experience in a low volume high mix operations environment.

Knowledge of material planning, staffing, scheduling, production processes and proper materials management for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.

Ability to manage, coach, train, and motivate team in technical and leadership development.

Skilled in the deployment and use of Lean and 6 Sigma manufacturing tools and methods.

Knowledgeable in project management and proven decision-making experience utilizing business and financial acumen.

Microsoft Office software package (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills are needed for collaborating with all levels of the organization.

Understands basic supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Two years of experience with electrical/electronic component manufacturing and handling

Extensive Knowledge of both DELTEK Cost Point ERP and FactoryLogix MES
