Qualifications:

  • Ability to drive stand-up and sit-down forklift highly desired

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will coordinate the storage and distribution of materials or products. They will also verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. They will lastly compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Schedules pickup, delivery, and distribution of products and materials.
  • Keeps all material staged in an organized manner.
  • Maintains and assist with all warehouse inventory counts.
  • Performs order entry functions in ERP system.
  • Collaborates with other departments as necessary.
  • Provides shipping instructions and routing information; confirms and coordinates delivery times and locations.
  • Responsible for maintaining clean and organized warehouse at all times.
  • Maintains warehouse safety at all times.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to manage and coordinate a variety of shipping methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Able to proficiently operate a standup and sit-down Forklift.
  • Able to work with manual and electric pallet jack.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years Shipping and Receiving experience.
  • Experience in printing industry a plus, but not necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to traverse the distribution and storage facility.

A Union Shipping & Receiving Rep loads and unloads trucks, and delivers parts to mechanics and customers. Using hand trucks and forklift trucks, pulls parts from bins and stores parts in proper bin locations. Also, processes necessary paperwork to record handling of parts.

Responsibilities:
+ Check in all daily incoming shipments, post incoming shipments into computer system utilizing company procedures
+ Put away all incoming stock in the appropriate bin location as indicated in the computer. Ensure that all parts put into stock are properly labeled with a barcode bin label.
+ Locate all new parts posted into stock determine the correct location and make changes in the computer along with labeling new parts.
+ Pull all customer orders as indicated on the picking list and place in either will call, package for shipment, or dispatch for delivery.
+ Keep the parts warehouse clean and organized. Follow all corporate safety guidelines and policy.
+ Process and maintain all returned parts, file freight claims on damaged parts upon reciept.
Basic Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
+ Related experience preferred
+ If required to drive, for any reason, on behalf of the company, must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier.
+ Must be trained and certified by the Company in using our Forklift equipment; and must be certified within 90 days. Law requires Forklift operators to be at least 18 years old.
+ Computer literate with the ability to learn and be proficient in any software program utilized by the Company.
