1. Receive & Store Inventory : Unload incoming shipments using forklifts/pallet jacks, verify quantities, label items, and organize stock in designated zones.

The Shipping & Receiving Associate will be responsible for building and moving large pallets and crates using saws, nail guns, tape measures, overhead cranes, and forklifts. Duties include preparing orders for final inspection, painting when required (using a respirator and paint gun), loading/unloading trucks, inspecting inbound materials and valves for discrepancies or damage, breaking down shipments for inspection, receiving and verifying raw materials, and entering products into the Modman system after forwarding to Sales.

• Stamp incoming valves using bar code scanner / hand held marking gun and prepare for production.

Shipping

• Responsible for building large pallets and crates.
• Requires the use of chop saws, skill saws, nail guns, tape measure, steel banding, cord strapping, shrink wrapping, tape guns, foam protection for coated valves and cardboard boxes for parcel shipments.
• Paint valves, products, orders as needed. Use of respirator and paint guns. Not just spray cans and touch up.
• Prepares orders for shipping including end protectors, touch up paint, tagging, palletizing, and wrapping.
• Reviews and ensures all paperwork is prepared and included with shipment
• Coordination of third party freight and will call orders.
• Use of forklift (propane and standing electric) and other warehouse equipment
• Loading and unloading of truck
• Significant overtime and weekend work required

Summary/Objective:

The Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing Associate must have experience with warehouse and shipping operations with limited supervision, and demonstrate jack-of-all-trades knowledge to be successful in this role. This position is responsible for the support of day-to-day location and service operations.

Essential Functions:

Shipping & Receiving

• Access information on a computer
• Keep shipping and receiving area clean/stocked
• Making sure the shipping and receiving of all orders is done in a timely manner. All items should be received into the system the same day they arrive. All shipments for office should be checked in and taken over to proper staging area in building.
• Receive/inspect/properly store incoming shipments
• Getting all freight charges added to the picking list in a timely manner

• Maintaining the forklift. (This includes daily safety check); use of hand truck
