Using our Clinicopia global labeling system with its multi-lingual label phrase library we can design single panel, booklet labels or our unique Peel-ID safe storage labels for your studies. Single panel and Peel-ID safe storage labels can be conveniently reviewed and approved online via our Fusion portal before being printed and inspected at our facilities.
The **Senior** **P** **ackaging Operations Manager** is responsible for providing leadership to ensure that the product is delivered to clients and patients on time and to quality standards. Packaging operations are executed to achieve the operational objectives in accordance with Packaging standards and the Quality Management System. The **Senior** **Pa** **ckaging Operations Manager** works collaboratively across departments to drive operational excellence and to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives leading to increasing Packaging performance and compliance.
**This is a full-time role position: Monday-Friday -Day shift. Onsite**

**The Role**
+ Accountable for timely, compliant and effective execution of Packaging Operations, partnering cross-functionally to support execution from batch readiness through delivery
+ Responsible for maintaining and reporting operational performance metrics
+ Responsible for identification and implementation of improvement opportunities for established processes, procedures, and training to maintain robust processes and high functioning teams
+ Partner with Validation and Engineering to identify, implement and effectively use Packaging Equipment and Automation technology
+ Maintain the management of the packaging facilities and supplies
+ Manage employees according to company guidelines and performance requirements as established in the union contract
+ Support effective execution of the Quality Management System, including completion of Deviation and Complaint investigations and managing implementation of effective CAPA
+ Support client and regulatory audits and resolution of observations
+ Responsible for interfacing with Clients and managing internal communication to sustain and enhance Client relationships

**The Candidate**
+ Requires a Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 15 years of experience
+ Three years of Supervisory and/or management experience required
+ Pharmaceutical Packaging and Manufacturing experience required
+ Detailed knowledge of the Packaging production process required
+ Knowledge of packaging equipment operations
+ Understanding of clinical study packaging and labeling management
+ In-depth knowledge of GMP packaging requirements
+ JD Edwards experience or experience working in an ERP system
+ Demonstrated ability to manage and develop professional, technical and union staff

The Packaging Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational effectiveness through both human and technology resource optimization. Responsible for creating a roadmap of process and technology solutions which will drive efficient and effective execution. Implement procedures impacting operations across quality, materials management, engineering and EH&S. Assure compliance within the manufacturing unit or site while delivering high levels of customer service and complying with all regulatory requirements.

+ Develop and implement business strategies to reduce cost, lead identification and recommendations of actions that adapt and transform the organization to meet changing business needs.
+ Develop and manage staff through hiring, managing performance, developing talent, and providing clear expectations.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration. Five years of experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in Packaging.

+ Experience leading a team of 20+ of indirect and direct reporting Packaging Manufacturing.

In this role you will play an important part in our beverage production process. - Provide feedback to supervisors to help coordinate activities of workers engaged in manufacturing handled at the highest level of quality.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or related field; Required

- Must have basic knowledge of production equipment and process

**Pay Range:**

Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.

This role provides technical direction, vision, guidance and people leadership to the packaging development team.
Manage and prioritize the packaging team’s resources to deliver on the assigned packaging project list.

ROLE AND ACTIVITY
- Lead and develop the Packaging team, support the packaging development strategy and the annual new product development plan.
- Ensure that all people management activities and requirements are covered effectively, efficiently and on time.
- Work hand in hand with the Quality and Operational teams to identify and prevent packaging defects. Work directly with packaging vendors to resolve quality defects.
- Work with operations and engineering to optimize the packaging performance on packaging equipment.

- Ensuring that any new packaging is tested and trialed on the factory and palletization equipment in the development stage and that Operations and Marketing have signed off on the final design.
- Design palletization patterns to optimize the transportation costs while ensuring pallet stability and quality. Perform and document the results of pallet transportation tests.
- Ensure that the artwork development process has the right quality of technical information (eg. technical packaging drawings, placement of 2D codes and “Best Before” date boxes, orientation, no-print areas etc.) to allow the creative services team to develop the graphics. Ensure that technical packaging data inputs are provided in a timely manner to avoid delays in the development timeline.
- Contribute to developing the Market Packaging sourcing and ESG strategy translating it into a local packaging project pipeline.
- Obtain a good understanding of DGIC manufacturing capabilities and packaging equipment.
- Develop strategic relationships with key packaging suppliers to define with Procurement the optimal sourcing strategy and to partner with companies offering innovations on new and relevant sustainable packaging materials.
- Ensure project management tools are used for managing timelines, project teams and key stakeholders to ensure that all key activities are managed appropriately.
- Ensure that all technical packaging documentation (eg. specifications, die-lines, pallet patterns, etc.) is organized, maintained and accessible.
