The Field Service Technicians primary role is to utilize specialized technical knowledge to provide service support at our customers locations such as troubleshooting, setup, and installation of systems and equipment.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Travel to customers and provide on-site troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment to ensure proper working order.
  • Isolate equipment malfunctions and take corrective action.
  • Meet the daily service repair needs of the customer through Service Excellence.
  • Provide timely and accurate phone support and troubleshooting to customers and internal departments.
  • Research and answer complex customer questions about product features and recommend appropriate resolutions and/or upgrades.
  • Research and recommend parts to be ordered.
  • Log service requests and document work on a timely basis to ensure proper resolution of requests, proper billing and communication with relevant parties.
  • Assist in providing demonstrations on equipment and systems.
  • Pass along any potential customer sales leads to internal departments.
  • Assist in completing in-house service repairs.
  • May perform some internal preventative maintenance and support as needed.
  • Continually look for ways to improve processes and systems to make them more efficient and effective.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
  • All other duties as assigned.

Salary Transparency

The pay range for this position is $31-38 per hour, depending on experience. Please note that the higher end of the pay range is reserved for candidates with extensive experience and qualifications that exceed the requirements of the role. Most new hires typically start at the beginning of the pay range, with opportunities for growth and increases based on performance and tenure.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Associates or Advanced Degree in a field related to mechanical, electronic or computer technology preferred.
  • 4+ years of strong demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical or technical equipment; packaging automation industry preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Must obtain certifications on applicable machines on a timely basis if requested.
  • Advanced Mechanical problem-solving skills.
  • Must be effective communicator in training and presentations on technical subjects; 2-3 years experience in this area is preferred.
  • Must possess strong ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to effectively communicate, build rapport and interface effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure and inspire confidence in addressing customer urgencies.
  • Must possess valid Driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to travel to customer locations; may involve some out of state and overnight travel.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds, lifting 5-40 pounds often.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed at customer locations and involves a variety of warehouse and manufacturing conditions including fluctuating temperatures and noise levels.
  • Physical requirements include ability to walk on uneven terrain, quickly exit unsafe areas, visually assess objects, audibly recognize various warning sounds, climb ladder steps, bend, stoop and crouch and sit and stand for extended periods.

Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for Temporary Packaging Technicians to help with packaging duties during a very busy season for a company in the Memphis, Tennessee, area. Morning, Evening, and Overnight Shifts Available. Once confirmed, there will be a 24-48 hour notice before the start of the assignment and the assignment is anticipated to be a straight seven days of work. For great workers, there is the potential to be asked back during other busy times.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is the cannabis industry's original recruiting firm and the leading full-service cannabis staffing agency, providing executive search, HR consulting, & temp staffing, coast-to-coast. a Packaging Technician, you will help to measure products, package the product, and then label the product accordingly. You may also get to help collect samples and perform tests to ensure quality. You may perform a variety of other processing tasks as needed. While experience packaging is not required, you should have experience adhering to strict health and safety policies and procedures. Attention to detail and the ability to closely follow standard operating procedures is required. You should also have the ability to sit, stand, twist, and kneel for up to 8 hours. Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Willingness to comply with OSHA regulations
  • Basic Computer Skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel AND twist up to 8 hours
  • Ability to work in a GMP environment, which includes but is not limited to wearing required PPE

Preferred Qualifications:

-2+ months of packaging experience

Pay Rate: Starting at $15/hour
