• Maintain the speed of production while performing his/her job duties.

Summary/Objective

The Packer reports to a supervisor and is responsible for following a schedule, putting labels, installing screens, and loading finished windows onto racks for shipping.

Essential Functions

1. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
2. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
3. Assembles and packages components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
4. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
5. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies
6. Daily communication with supervisor regarding potential issues
7. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
8. Ensures safety measures are followed to protect personnel and company property
9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing quality and timely results
10. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor and management
11. Must be able to multitask and attention to detail

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to count and record findings. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crouching, carrying items, crawling, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work is also necessary.

2. Able to identify that product meets quality and productivity standards
3. Ability to use hand tools
4. Ability to focus on details to guarantee production of high quality products
5. Ability to read and follow documented procedures and standards
6. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements
7. Willing and available to work overtime to reach goals
8. Clear communication (oral and written) skills
9. Experience in shipping or packaging of finished product.
