Paramedic

Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Paramedics to partner with us in providing quality medical care to patients within a transitional setting. Paramedics, alongside fellow team members, will be fully entrusted to ensure that the utmost competent care and safety is consistently delivered with compassion to the patient population. The medical teams will be located within a secure medical facility, where such services include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Medical Screening (New Arrivals)
  • Comprehensive Screening
  • Sick Call
  • 24-Hour Emergency Medical and Mental Health Treatment
  • Women's Medical Care

Aspen Medical will provide additional EMS, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures. Citizenship: All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders. Sponsorship will not be available. Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED. Successful completion of a state approved or CAAHEP accredited paramedic training program
  • License: Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted paramedic license in one of the U.S. states, territories, commonwealths, or the District of Columbia
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of progressive clinical experience as a paramedic working in a pre-hospital care setting after licensure

Without these qualities you will not be successful in this position.Essential Functions•Administer IVs and run fluid therapy for the intravenous process.•Document interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services, assessment, and responses/reactions to treatment.•Demonstrate compliance regarding professional standards, regulations, policies and procedures and accreditation standards.•Assess the client's physical health including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, etc.•Identify contradictions to intravenous therapy.•Complete training for nutrition infusion therapies.•Assist in developing new business.•Participate in community outreach and events to promote business growth.•All other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation/CertificationCredentialed as either an RN (Registered Nurse), Paramedic, ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing), or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with license current and up to dateRequired KnowledgeKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records and Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Medical Practice FunctionsExperience Required2 years minimum of Vascular Access or InfusionSkillsStrong venous access skills with the ability to access peripheral veins, client service, patient confidentiality, stress management, multi-tasking, self-motivation, self-management, problem-solving, time management, independent judgment, resilience, perseverance, organization, client care, flexibility, dependability and reliability, collaboration and teamwork, ability to meet all performance standards of the position and continually learn in the positionPhysical Requirements•Able to speak effectively and communicate clearly.•Able to hear average conversations.•Able to type continuously throughout the day.•Able to type continuously throughout the day and use hands to maneuver a mouse.•Able to perform tasks requiring close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eyeglasses/contacts).•Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time.Working ConditionsThis position will work eight (8) to ten (10) hour shifts Monday-Friday and occasional weekends will be required. General clinic environment with climate control. Adequate lighting.
