Under general direction, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by performing routine cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, shops, yards, and conex areas. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, restocking the shop, making deliveries, unloading and loading trucks, and picking up parts as directed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Unload delivery trucks, pick up parts and materials, and make deliveries as requested.
+ Ensure all restrooms, shop, and yard areas are well-maintained, routinely cleaned, and stocked with needed supplies.
+ Pull trucks out of the yard every morning and into the yard every evening, ensuring they have fuel and are ready for routine operational use.
+ Perform routine tasks such as dumping scrap bins, cleaning the conex area, organizing waterjet scraps, gathering shop rags, cleaning out saws, restocking parts and materials, and ensuring dumpsters are cleaned out weekly.
+ Assist crafts personnel by cutting materials as needed and helping with other tasks as requested.
+ Perform routine machine maintenance such as oiling machines and changing saw blades.
+ Maintain accurate inventory of parts and materials by completing inventory forms weekly.
+ Ensure the buildings and gates are unlocked and ready for personnel each morning and locked, secured, and safe each night after business hours.
+ Perform other duties of a similar nature as requested.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Valid Washington State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
+ Blueprint reading, troubleshooting, shipping, inventory, material handling, organization, parts inventory, wrapping, loading, and unloading skills.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a repair shop environment, handling various tasks in shipping and receiving. Be prepared to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly. The ability to work outdoors under adverse and varied weather conditions is essential.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

The Parts Runner is responsible for suppling and assisting fabricators and other shop employees with the parts they need to complete their work in advance.
Responsibilities/Tasks of role:
- Keep track of, organize, and when needed label parts, loose material, and pallets
- Empty dumpsters at least once a day and before they overflow during the day
- Communicate and coordinate the shipping and receiving of parts
- Work with Project Managers regarding the required parts on projects.
- Be certified to operate forklifts and to inspect them at the beginning of each shift including filling out a maintenance tag to insure their safe operation
- Operate the Duplicator or the Bickford drill when they are needed
- Label, barcode, and tag, band and shrink wrap material exiting the shop per shipping requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen test and background check.

Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent required.
Experience: Valid drivers license is required. CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
Objective: The primary function of the position will be to assist shop personnel by gathering parts and other shop inventory to maintain productive workflow at the shop or at various job sites.
