Job Summary: Development, coordination and administration of child passenger safety education and community events for families, child advocates, law enforcement, allied health & safety, fire dept. and including special needs population. Lead Child Passenger Safety programs. Support child passenger safety activities which support the mission of the Children's Hospital at Saint Francis, and Safe Kids Tulsa Area, including prevention, outreach education and research in Oklahoma.
Minimum Education: Associate Degree in health related field. Bachelor's in health related field preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Certified Child Passenger Technician and Certified Child Passenger Safety Instructor through Safe Kids Worldwide. Off-campus system support duties will require use of a private vehicle. A valid driver license, Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle liability insurance in the amount required by SFHS guidelines will be required.
Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective communication skills, including some public speaking experience. Demonstrated knowledge of or prior involvement in a child passenger safety program. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work, ability to work independently. Ability to work under pressure, be flexible in scheduling, and have the ability to travel.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Develop, coordinate and administrate Child Passenger Safety Programs, Inspection Stations, car seat checks. Develop and initiate procedures. Oversee daily operation of programs/Inspection Stations. Accurately communicate all aspects of program. Orders supplies, monitors costs, collects and reports data on program activities. Contacts, schedules, trains and evaluates prospective volunteers to assist with program and equipment maintenance. Remains flexible in work hours, to include evenings and weekend trainings and events. Provides education to individuals about the proper use of child restraints. Is proficient in car seat installation and can accurately explain such to patients, families, and volunteers in community or hospital setting. Maintains knowledge of and compliance with current recalls, manufacturer's recommendations, legislation and regulations concerning child passenger restraints. Attend SAFE KIDS, NHTSA, DOT and local trainings to ensure and maintain required certifications, and Special Needs Education on CPS. Is knowledgeable in safe transport of (low birth weight and premature, as well as special needs) children. Maintains current and up-to-date educational materials. Acts as a resource to others in the hospital, community, region and state. Exhibits good public speaking and educational skills to provide scheduled trainings to patients, families and community. Evaluates program with pre and post surveys and family call backs. Provides oversight of Inspection Stations, car seats, equipment, all records (Including documentation of SafeKids Technician and Instructor Certifications). Maintains current inventory of car seats and associated supplies (noodles, slip guard, locking clips, etc.) Completes CPS forms, files, and records of CPS Techs and Instructors. Promotes child passenger safety program. Assists with coordination/staffing of community and outreach safety events related to child passenger safety

**Job Summary:**
The Public Safety Officer will provide property owners, guests, day visitors, contractors and employees with an exceptional guest service experience and greet all guests in a friendly, inviting and welcoming manner on a daily basis both in the village plaza and at individual residences. Respond to alarms and emergencies. Know and enforce all Beaver Creek rules, regulations and covenants for owners and guests staying in or visiting Beaver Creek. Problem solving and sound decision making based on knowledge of the guidelines and procedures of Beaver Creek. Documentation of all that is done on your shift in a clear and concise manner. Working scheduled shifts (48 hours) and covering shifts at all hours, including overnight and holidays.

**Job Responsibilities:**
The primary duties for the Security Public Safety Officer include but are not limited to:
+ Interacting with property-owners, guests, and employees
+ Assisting guests, residents, and employees of Beaver Creek with vehicle pull-outs, jump-starts, vehicle-unlocks, intrusion alarms and motor vehicle accidents
+ Consistently providing a very high level of customer service
+ General resort safety
+ EMS response
+ Enacting general emergency procedures
+ Making critical or difficult decisions in urgent situations and/or with limited information
+ Coordinating response and responding to medical emergencies with the local EMS provider
+ Using and Directing use of resort and county radio systems
+ Familiarity of emergency and law enforcement services
+ Notifying appropriate public service partners
+ Adapting to wide variety of dynamic situations
+ Managing and resolving tier-two (transferred from other departments) customer service issues
+ Enforcing all Beaver Creek road, animal and property regulations
+ Ensuring the proper and lawful use of all Vail Resorts properties
+ Responsibility for bank deposits
+ Traffic control and pedestrian safety on roadways within the resort and coming into the resort
+ Detecting, mitigating and/or reporting any safety problems or misuse of company property
+ Investigating incidents
+ Writing and filing reports
+ Developing and conducting shift training
+ Regularly and consistently attending meetings and trainings during the work day
+ Occasionally attending meetings and trainings outside of the regular work week
+ Additional duties may include but are not limited to: inspecting AEDs, managing and/or making keys, restocking first aid kits, updating locks and keys and more
+ Other duties as assigned

The Director Public Safety is responsible for the security, safety, and emergency management of Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) and all off-site locations (including doctor's offices, urgent cares, and centers). This position will ensure SAMC maintains safe and secure facilities and grounds by enforcing regular inspections, regularly patrolling the interior and exterior grounds, and responding as needed to safety concerns and unusual events with trained employees. The Director Public Safety will develop and ensure compliance with the hospital and regulatory agency policies and procedures pertaining to safety and security, particularly during patient interactions. This position will serve as the hospital's principal representative to outside agencies in all safety and security matters and ensure campus security as it relates to perceived and actual concerns for personal safety, fire, theft, vandalism, and disruptive behavior. This position will oversee the daily operations of the Security and Valet functions.
**REQUIREMENTS**
1. Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Safety, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Security Management or Police Science.
2. Ten (10) years of Security management experience is required.
3. Certification from the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) as either Supervisor or Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) is required within twelve (12) months from date of hire.
4. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
5. Valid California Driver's License and a good driving record is required. Out-of-state candidates must obtain a valid California driver's license within three (3) months from the date of hire.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
7. Ability to exercise sound reasoning and confidentiality while maintaining a tactful demeanor in all dealings and interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and staff is required.
8. Proven successful leadership experience required. Seven (7) years of leadership experience is preferred.
9. Experience with aggressive patients and application of least restrictive techniques, including de-escalation techniques preferred.
10. Four (4) years of Emergency Preparedness or Disaster Planning experience is preferred.
11. Business management experience is preferred.
12. Knowledge of the Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care standards is preferred.
13. Knowledge of lean management principles are preferred.

Public Safety Officer **Department of Public Safety, Stanford, California, United States** Security Post Date Jan 25, 2024 Requisition # **Job Purpose** Perform non-sworn, un-armed security and parking enforcement duties to provide a safe environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors to the Stanford campus. **Position Description** Public Safety Officers (PSO) support the overall public safety mission of the Stanford Department of Public Safety (DPS) by performing a variety of functions. PSOs work under the general supervision of a civilian supervisor, sergeant, or other designated officer in charge. Specific duties may include: patrolling designated areas of the University by foot, bicycle, motor vehicle or other DOT approved method of transportation for suspicious and/or illegal behavior, safety hazards, unlocked doors, opportunities to assist the public, etc.; enforcing violations of the University's Parking Code; providing traffic control services and/or logistical support during emergencies and special events; providing first aid or CPR; standing a security post in a potentially dangerous location; and staffing the Operations Desk monitoring the daily security and event operations of DPS' field personnel. PSOs wear a uniform and a duty belt with limited gear; the position can require moderate to strenuous activity. The ideal candidate must be physically fit and able to adapt physically and psychologically to frequently changing needs and priorities. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, the ability to problem solve, a high level of energy, enthusiasm and flexibility are key characteristics of the successful incumbent. Work is performed primarily on-site; the position is subject to shift work and could be assigned to work any of the following: day, swing, or night shifts (including holidays), as well as a rotation which could include regular weekend work. Mandatory overtime is also required from time-to-time. Outdoor work is required, sometimes in inclement weather. All benefits-eligible members of the Stanford Department of Public Safety are considered essential (or required) university personnel for purposes of managing emergencies and critical incidents impacting significant portions of the campus. As such, all benefits-eligible DPS personnel are expected to respond to campus during a major emergency. **Core Duties** Duties may include the following: **Safety and Security** + Patrol designated areas of the campus looking for suspicious and/or illegal behavior, safety hazards, unlocked doors, opportunities to assist the public, etc., document concerns and notify the appropriate university departments of issues that should be addressed. + Respond to door alarms in the student housing and academic areas of campus. + Open and/or close the Field Sites and Matadero Creek Trail access. + Provide information, directions and assistance to community members. + Coordinate the campus Bike Abatement program including abandoned bike tagging and pickup, and abandoned bike sales/donations. **Parking Enforcement** + Patrol designated areas of the University to enforce University parking regulations. Issue parking citations using license plate recognition system, electronic ticket writer or other tools provided. + Conduct periodic parking utilization surveys at the request of Transportation Services (TS). + Provide directed enforcement in areas of concern on campus. **Event Support** + Prepare and/or post parking space reservation signs and other event/parking/traffic control signs for special events and details on campus. Remove signs after the event has concluded. + Deploy barricades, cones and other traffic control equipment per directions as part of event setup. Remove barricades and other safety equipment after the event. + Drive various size trucks/vehicles including forklift to transport equipment, including towing barricade trailers. + Provide safety, security, traffic control, logistics support and other services during campus details.
