SCHEDULE: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Shifts |
SALARY RANGE: $20-$30/hour, commensurate with experience
START DATE: October 2025

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:
Client is seeking a compassionate, highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Patient Services Coordinator to join our growing team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling check-in, payment collection, appointment scheduling, and overall front desk operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive experience.
- Check patients in for appointments, verify insurance information, and collect payments.
- Obtain medical records and authorizations as needed.
- Schedule patient appointments, coordinate follow-up visits, and conduct patient reminder calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize scheduling and patient flow.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
- Troubleshoot scheduling and front desk issues, escalating as appropriate.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned, such as scanning, filing, and assisting other departments.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED - Required ; Associate’s degree or MA certification - Preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in a healthcare front desk, medical scheduling, or administrative role - Required .
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new healthcare software quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
DESIREABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with oncology or radiation oncology workflows.
- Familiarity with OncoEMR.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with insurance verification, authorizations, patient billing, and/or medical record collection.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
