Transporting patients and various items throughout the hospital; cleaning assigned equipment used for patient transport, as required. The Transport Technician works collaboratively with others in patient/family - focused care teams.**
**Transport Technician must demonstrate success in precepting and mentoring new employees.**

+ Escort patients to exam rooms, take vitals, and update EHR
+ Assist clinicians with procedures and patient prep
+ Manage consent forms, patient education, and referrals
+ Keep exam rooms clean and stocked
+ Help with front desk duties and appointment scheduling
+ Ensure supplies are ready for upcoming procedures
+ Complete e-prescribing and EHR tasks accurately
+ Support lab and case management tasks as needed
+ Enroll patients in the Patient Assistance Program

Pay and Benefits

Tasks may vary by facility and could include distribution of supplies, general clerical support and facilitating screening stations. **Essential Key Job Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for screening employees, patients, and guests before gaining admittance to our facilities
+ Contribute to a culture of safety by providing assistance to coworkers in use of personal protective equipment
+ Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas. Restocks supplies and rotates inventory
+ Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, participates in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient who is confused, impulsive, unable to perform teach back, unable to understand, or at risk for self-harm or injury
+ Documents per policy in the healthcare record
+ Facilitates effective communication by fielding incoming calls, accepting and communicating with visitors, and relaying pertinent information to appropriate staff
+ Responds appropriately in emergency situations as support for clinical staff
+ Actively participates in ongoing education to take and pass the CNA state exam to transition to a CAN role
+ Provides general office and clerical support
+ Other duties as assigned by management
