This role is vital for the design, development, and support of Lincoln's DC Fast Charger product line. What You Will Do:
- Electrical Design & Development: Create and implement electrical systems and circuits for DCFC products, focusing on magnetics, circuit boards, wire harnesses, and software integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with software and controls engineers to ensure effective integration of electrical and software systems for seamless product development.
- Thermal & Mechanical Design Support: Work alongside mechanical engineers to address electrical and thermal requirements in mechanical packaging and system designs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet or exceed safety and performance standards by navigating relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Manufacturing & Testing: Partner with manufacturing engineers to define processes for building and testing high-power EV chargers, ensuring product quality and manufacturability.
- Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve technical issues related to product performance, leading root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Level II Engineer: 3+ years of hands-on electrical design engineering experience.
- Level III Engineer: 5+ years of hands-on electrical design engineering experience.
- Level IV Engineer: 9+ years, recognized as an expert with specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise.
- Technical Expertise: Profound understanding of electrical design principles, circuits, power systems, and system integration, with a preference for experience in high-power electronics and DC fast chargers.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills, able to present complex technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showcasing a proactive approach to project management and problem-solving.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
