- Investigate and troubleshoot data-related defects and issues, including data flow problems, data corruption, and data synchronization errors
- Perform root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of data quality issues
- Collaborate with developers to resolve data-related defects and implement corrective actions
- Monitor data integration processes and identify potential data quality risks
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for data validation and integration testing
- Utilize testing tools and frameworks to automate data testing processes
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results
- Generate reports on data quality metrics and test coverage
- Communicate data quality issues and test findings to stakeholders
- Work with the existing QA to enhance their knowledge on Data testing
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure data quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on data-related aspects
- 5+ years of experience in data quality assurance, data testing, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
- Experience with relational databases such as: IBMi DB2, SQL
- Understanding of data integration concepts and technologies
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies
- Familiarity with command line interfaces
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and identify the underlying causes of data defects
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to document test results and procedures clearly
- Experience testing data integration processes
- Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies
