What you'll do
You'll greet our customers in our lobbies. You're comfortable enough with technology to demonstrate how to use our mobile app, or our ATMs, to complete simple transactions. PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $6- 28 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS

As a Member Consultant II, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and high-quality member experience. Your expertise in BECU’s products will allow you to identify , diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services when necessary. You will serve as a subject matter expert, resolving our members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services.
WHAT YOU’LL DO :
Exceptional Member Experience and Sales Consultation:
Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales, including areas of business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.
Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center, ensuring each Member’s needs are fulfilled.
Assisting the community with financial wellness : This could involve financial education programs, assistance with budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources.

- Responsible for meeting customer expectations and achieving service quality standards. Participates/oversees the sales referral process ensuring customer financial needs are met and assists management in coaching and mentoring branch staff members.
- Ability to perform all transactions required by a customer and use appropriate technology to provide services most effectively and efficiently. Maintain and balance a cash box. Ability to utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling and Cash Dispensing machines and support customers in the use of Coin Machines.
- Act as Vault Teller ensuring adequacy of Branch cash for daily transactions by assisting the branch staff in ordering and shipping currency - coin and controlling - distributing cash to Tellers in prescribed limits.
- Assists in community events (i.e., Habitat for Humanity) etc. Participates in and supports CRA initiatives, activities and programs.
- Report all significant matters, issues and unusual customer activity to Manager maintaining personal knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.

- Maintain a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures.
- Maintain a current understanding of and ensure compliance with regulations that include but are not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, suspicious activity reporting, Reh B/fair Lending, Reg Z/Trust in Lending, Reg DD/Trush in Savings, Expedited Funds Availability Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Community Reinvestment Act and the SAFE Act.
- Assist in training branch team members, on product knowledge and skill development when necessary.
- Assist other team members in non-primary assigned duties whenever necessary and perform other work-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous sales and cash handling experience, preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
- Able to successfully complete Bank product and sales training courses and appropriate certifications.
- Able to be registered as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) in the Nationwide Mortgage License System and Registry (NMLS).
