PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $6- 28 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

I MPACT YOU’LL MAKE :    

As a Member Consultant II, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and high-quality member experience. Your expertise in BECU’s products will allow you to identify , diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services when necessary. You will serve as a subject matter expert, resolving our members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO :    

Exceptional Member Experience and Sales Consultation:      

  • Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales, including areas of business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.   

  • Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center, ensuring each Member’s needs are fulfilled.    

  • Assisting the community with financial wellness : This could involve financial education programs, assistance with budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources.

    Minimum Qualifications:

As a Client Relationship Consultant you will provide exceptional client service while engaging in sales and service activities at branch locations. Open accounts, assist with processing Banker transactions, cross-sell Bank products and services, take applications for and book loans, perform account and client profile maintenance, and respond to questions regarding client accounts. Youll also present tailored solutions that meet the clients specific financial needs or refer clients to other lines of business as appropriate.
  • Client Relationship Consultant Requirements

  • 1 or more years of Client Relationship Consultant experience or similar experience required
  • NMLS registration or ability to obtain required
  • A passion for providing superior client service
  • Ability to analyze client needs and make appropriate recommendations based on financial data

  • Responsible for meeting customer expectations and achieving service quality standards. Participates/oversees the sales referral process ensuring customer financial needs are met and assists management in coaching and mentoring branch staff members.
  • Ability to perform all transactions required by a customer and use appropriate technology to provide services most effectively and efficiently. Maintain and balance a cash box. Ability to utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling and Cash Dispensing machines and support customers in the use of Coin Machines.
  • Act as Vault Teller ensuring adequacy of Branch cash for daily transactions by assisting the branch staff in ordering and shipping currency - coin and controlling - distributing cash to Tellers in prescribed limits.
  • Assists in community events (i.e., Habitat for Humanity) etc. Participates in and supports CRA initiatives, activities and programs.
  • Report all significant matters, issues and unusual customer activity to Manager maintaining personal knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge and compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY & MISSION - Personal Banker

Conduct an average of approximately 12 or more customer conversations daily.

Continuously update a customer relationship management database with records of all customer interactions, whether in person, by telephone, or other modes of communication.

Maintain collaborative relationships with other Tri Counties Bank financial services professionals providing specialized services in:
  • Home mortgage lending
  • Investment Advisory
  • Commercial Lending
  • Business Corporate & Purchasing Cards
  • Treasury Management
  • Merchant Card Services
  • Direct Banking
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Begin with a personal welcome to everyone who calls or comes into a branch. Show the customer they are valued.
  • Use every customer interaction as an opportunity to have quality conversations and individually understand the financial needs and goals of our customers.
  • Share your knowledge about Tri Counties Bank services, products, and partners to help your customers' save money, make more money or make their banking more convenient.
  • Employ appropriate solutions for your customers. Follow through and honor commitments to ensure their financial needs and goals are fulfilled
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain accurate sales records and regularly reviews sales results with Branch Manager and prepares an action plan taking appropriate steps to meet/exceed sales objectives.
  • Ensure that all customer transactions, ranging from check cashing to cash depositing to loan payments to counting currency and coin, are handled accurately and timely according to guidelines.
  • Maintain a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a current understanding of and ensure compliance with regulations that include but are not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, suspicious activity reporting, Reh B/fair Lending, Reg Z/Trust in Lending, Reg DD/Trush in Savings, Expedited Funds Availability Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Community Reinvestment Act and the SAFE Act.
  • Assist in training branch team members, on product knowledge and skill development when necessary.
  • Assist other team members in non-primary assigned duties whenever necessary and perform other work-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous sales and cash handling experience, preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
  • Able to successfully complete Bank product and sales training courses and appropriate certifications.
  • Able to be registered as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) in the Nationwide Mortgage License System and Registry (NMLS).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
