As a Termite Pest Control Technician, you are excited to start your route each day. Not only will you be recognized as a hero to our customers as you save them from pesky intruders, but you will also create lifelong client relationships. You will determine the prescribed treatment as marked on the inspection graph and specification sheet and prepare site areas for treatment by removing and hauling off debris as prescribed. Additionally, you will apply any of the following wood-destroying organism treatments and techniques to customers' buildings and structures: Termite bait station (Sentricon) installation with auger and digging tools, Trenching and applying liquid treatment to the exterior or crawl space perimeters of structures, Drilling and applying liquid treatment to void spaces or blocks in the crawl spaces and structures, Spray application of product to affected areas. Your calm, helpful demeanor puts our customers at ease as you devise and describe a personalized solution.

What do our Pest Control Technicians do?
The primary purpose of this role is to perform our industry leading pest management services for residential customers. You will be responsible for identifying and eliminating pests from residential properties by conducting thorough inspections, determining the type of pest infestation, applying appropriate treatments like pesticides and traps, and providing preventative measures to prevent future infestations, all while adhering to safety regulations and communicating with clients about pest control solutions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment. Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm their appointments, help with sales to current customers, and expand our product to new customers
- Ensure that all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols
- Drive and safely operate a company provided service vehicle (we provide routine maintenance)
- Working in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
- Working around animals, insects and termites
- You'll sometimes be working around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights and scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals, and we'll train you how to handle all of these conditions safely
- Able to work both inside and outside in your local climate in company-provided weather gear
- Lots of moving around - regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- You'll need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Clean shaven face- for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
- Possess a state valid driver's license and undergo motor vehicle driving record check (Company vehicle and gas card provided)
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
- Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills - You'll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels
- Customer-facing experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN (PEST MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL)
- No experience necessary! We provide paid training.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Ability to operate and maintain a company truck
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Physical ability to crawl and work in small confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
- Physical ability to work on your feet for an extended period of time
- Ability and willingness to work in all types of weather
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
- Sales ability

Who We Need
Our business and team are growing. We are currently hiring a Pest Control Technician who can learn quickly, digest technical information, and thrive working independently while receiving support from their supervisor and colleagues.
Pest Control Technicians deliver on our core focus of relationship-based pest management. By partnering with our residential and commercial customers, technicians will use their inspection skills to solve, treat, and prevent pest problems. Effective communication and strong technology skills are essential for interacting with customers and colleagues.

Job Duties
- Service customers demonstrating relationship based pest management to resolve and prevent customer pest concerns and issues.
- Operate company vehicles safely and maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, chemicals used, and observations made during inspections on a company issued mobile device.
- Mix, apply and treat with pesticides in compliance with state regulations and company policies.
- Arrive promptly at your first scheduled stop and complete all services within the time allotted.
- Inspect customer properties to identify pest activity and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Identify potential pest entry points and advise customers on exclusion methods.

Requirements to become a Pest Control Service Technician
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full-time with the potential for overtime during May - September
Physical Demands of Pest Control Technicians
While performing job responsibilities, technicians will frequently engage in activities such as lifting, walking, and crawling. Individuals should be capable of reaching with hands and arms, climbing on ladders, kneeling, and crawling. Applicants must possess the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be comfortable getting on roofs as required. Technicians should anticipate working in various climates. We provide proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and thorough training to ensure a safe working environment.
