Petroleum Foreman - Jacksonville, FL
A petroleum company is looking for a Foreman to join their team immediately for as a full time employee of our client. Most of the work is around Jacksonville so you will need to live in the area or relocate for this role. As a Petroleum Foreman you will be in charge of a crew of 2-3 people and will be responsible for the completion of installation projects are done safely and on time. You will report directly to the Field Supervisor or Construction Manager and have daily reports sent to them at the end of each day. Ability to work a tablet and other technology effectively is required for this role.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hires and trains new employees.
Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages installation of all offered product categories.
Conducts ongoing quality inspections, identifies potential issues and implements corrective action plans to achieve safety and QA standards.
Manages difficult customer concerns.
Installs and calibrates QC instruments.
Starts and runs the installed sales program.
Schedules manpower to staff the project.
Completes forms, reports, logs and records of installations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and product specifications.
Basic math and smartphone skills.
Complete daily reports & paperwork and submit construction site pictures on a daily basis.
Safety minded and conscious of worksite safety.
Self-motivated with an ability to complete tasks as directed independently and also able to think, work, and act as part of a team.
The ability to operate heavy equipment including a forklift, skid steer and backhoe.
The compensation for this role is starting at $25/hr and up to $33/hr or more based on experience.
