Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties. The Pharmacy department is responsible for compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals, supplies, medications and large-to-small volume parenterals, as well as providing drug information and education. We strive to ensure that our patients and clients receive safe and effective medication by applying the highest standards of modern pharmaceutical care. As the lead pharmacy technician, you will help to ensure that the Pharmacy department provides quality pharmaceutical knowledge and services to our patients and their families. Your responsibilities include assisting with the coordination and supervision of the daily operations of the department, including setting work schedules and workload priorities. You will also fill routine orders, compound various IVs and perform other technical and clerical duties. We are looking for someone precise and attentive, with exceptional organizational and planning skills, a strong sense of quality control and integrity and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Three (3) years hospital pharmacy experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited pharmacy technician training program. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). One (1) year lead experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting.
