Job Description:
The Physical Security Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of physical security at L3Harris' Space Systems site in Florida. This includes managing construction projects related to security-whether it's new builds, upgrades, or repairs-and making sure we're meeting all required government regulations and security standards.
In this role, you'll take the lead on applying key directives like NISPOM, ICDs, and SAP guidance, ensuring our facilities remain secure and compliant. You'll serve as the on-site security expert, working closely with both internal teams and government security contacts to support ongoing operations.
We're looking for someone who brings a strong sense of ownership, can work independently when needed, and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility, teamwork, and clear communication are key, along with a commitment to protecting our people, property, and sensitive information in line with L3Harris policies.
Essential Functions:
- Knowledgeable and experienced with required security governance for physical, industrial, information, and other applicable security disciplines, e.g., IC Directives; DOD directives, instructions and manuals; security standards, national interim guidance, and Executive Orders governing physical, industrial and information security. Examples include but are not limited to: ICD-705 Tech Spec, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (32 CFR Part 117), DoD Information Security and SCI policies and regulations, and Committee on National Security Systems publications, and TEMPEST concepts and requirements.
- Provide input and assist with drafting policy documents, standard operating procedures, instructional handouts and other forms of awareness and training materials for physical and industrial security. Communicate within and outside of the organization physical security best practices, processes and approaches. Develop solutions and convey to internal and external customers. Provide technical expertise concerning physical, communications, and industrial security
- Coordinate and support proper installation and implementation of security technologies, to include access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection equipment which includes badge readers, access control panels, electrified door strikes, door contacts, request to exits, maglocks, power supplies, cameras, camera servers, switches, servers, cabling, motion detectors, and alarm panels.
- Update and maintain records, i.e., accreditation packages, approvals, (e.g., database and hardcopy), current and accurate co-utilization and joint-utilization agreements, collateral area files, status remarks, expirations, inspections, assistance visits, DD Form 254, etc.
- Maintain complete, current, and accurate records in accordance with L3Harris policy and federal laws. Maintain well organized electronic and hardcopy records.
- Provide security recommendations and guidance for new facilities and those to be renovated.
- Prepare and review Fixed Facility Checklists and other documentation supporting the SCIF/SAPF accreditation process, compartmented area approval and secure area approval process.
- Perform site security surveys to determine if facilities meet requirements for accreditation.
- Perform reviews and provide input on construction and architectural drawings.
- Provide recommendations to accredit and de-accredit secure areas in support of the Life Cycle Management efforts.
- Perform staff assistance visits to site locations to provide guidance on implementing and sustaining security requirements. Routine travel among all L3Harris Brevard County sites required. Other travel may be required.
- Ability to work in standing, sitting and kneeling positions. Ability to work on an elevated platform, such as a ladder.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance is required.
Preferred Additional Skills:

**About the Opportunity**
The Physical Security Specialist at BlueOval SK will contribute to the overall physical security including site risk assessments, and management of physical security systems such as cameras, security alarms, access control, and lighting.
**Key Areas of Responsibility:**
+ Physical security control, ensuring that all employees, contractors and visitors are safe
+ Implement security and threat management to support the safety and well-being of employees and physical assets
+ Investigate theft, safety issues utilizing company provided systems (i.e., CCTV/Access Control/ Other Data Sources)
+ Security guard work system establishment and management
+ Complete any required documentation/report writing
+ Maintain relationships with related agencies
+ Conduct physical security and risk vulnerability inspections, evaluate and provide recommendations
+ Review facilities designs regarding where sensitive materials are located
+ Development and evaluation of existing security procedures
+ Apply appropriate security standards
+ Greet guests and conduct proper sign-in procedures
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ 2-5 years of experience working in factory security similar industry-based environment
+ Experience with Camera and Access Control systems
+ Experience managing security teams
+ The ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders
+ Familiarization with multiple aspects of physical security
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Industry recognized security certifications.
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
+ Strong communication skills, verbal and written, is a must
+ Security-based certification a plus (i.e. CPP, PSP, CISSP)

Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Lead to support our Director of Executive Protection and Event Security Services within the Global Security Program. This role is critical to the operational success of our protective services and event security initiatives across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from either the private or public sector, with a strong background in executive protection, event security logistics, and threat mitigation.
As a key contributor to the global security strategy, you will help ensure the safety of our executives and the integrity of our corporate events through proactive planning, coordination, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director in implementing and managing executive protection programs, including travel security, residential security, and venue assessments.
Lead operational planning and execution for corporate events, including risk assessments, security staffing, access control, and emergency response coordination.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and law enforcement agencies to ensure seamless protective operations.
Conduct threat assessments and develop mitigation strategies for executive movements and high-profile events.

Qualifications
7-10 years of experience in executive protection, event security, or related fields within the private or public sector.

**Summary**
The **Physical Security Specialist** will be responsible for managing physical security projects, including gathering and analyzing requirements, developing Performance Work Statements, conducting market research, and building cost estimates for government review and approval. They will supervise system testing and Performance Verification Testing, review proposals for technical adequacy, and document program activities and progress. They will also develop a Quality Assurance program to ensure system performance and compliance with regulations, and review designs for compliance with DoD regulations and other standards.
Additionally, they will contribute their technical expertise to assist with construction management and engineering services for physical security infrastructure projects. They will support the management of complex capital improvement projects, coordinate assignments with stakeholders, and prepare project scope documents and cost estimates.
**Responsibilities**
+ Provide multidisciplinary review and comment on all Physical Security Branch (PSB)-assigned construction projects, focusing on security and operational impacts. Assigned projects will include internal Agency projects and external (WHS, Arlington, Virginia Department of Transportation) projects.
+ Provide project management services for assigned PSB taskings. Average project workload at any given time is 5-10 active/in- planning projects.
+ Provide content/input to Physical Security Plans, Security Master Plans, and assigned external planning efforts such as Transportation Management Plans, Reservation Master Plans, and Utility Plans.
+ Review and provide input to Master Integrated Project schedule, a collection of all active construction projects across NCR
+ Track, report, and analyze assigned PSB projects, providing updates and relevant Project updates in Significant Activity Report (SAR) and other applicable venues.
+ Plan, survey, and report on assigned PSB taskings, to include lighting surveys, construction feasibility, analysis of options, concept of operations (CONOPs) and use case development.
+ Collaborate and liaison with Joint Service Provider, other IT providers, internal and external stakeholders with regard to Electronic Security Systems deployed at the Pentagon Reservation and applicable facilities within the National Capital Region.
+ Participate in scheduled updates of the Integrated Security Master Plan as assigned by PSB.
+ Document current state business problems and business processes.
+ Analyze and assess for opportunities to streamline and improve
**Qualifications**
+ Seven years of experience in designing, planning, implementing, and managing physical security projects, developing physical security standards, and monitoring compliance; or
+ Five years of similar experience with a baccalaureate degree
+ Familiarity with AMAG Symmetry, Software House CCURE, or Bosch Video Management System desired
+ Demonstrated knowledge of video management, intrusion detection, and access control systems
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate via written and oral means effectively
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and think critically.
_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_
+ Knowledge of Microsoft applications and programs including MS Project.
+ Ability to manage installation and maintenance schedules to complete work to acceptable standards within the time allotted
