Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Support Coordinator supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Resource Nurse supports multiple units. The Resource Nurse provides guidance and education on the hospital's standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.

+ Observes and assesses the quality of patient care being delivered.
+ Identify nursing educational needs.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, biology or other related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience; HS diploma or GED is required. Required CPT/ExCPT/LPT/PTCB/RPT, Pharmacy Technician, State Requirements - Pharmacy. 2 years pharmacy experience in retail, mail order, MCO, health plan, PBM or comparable setting. Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of prescription drugs including specialty drugs, disease states and therapy classes, health plan formulary management techniques, prescription plan benefit designs, current healthcare industry news and trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product Suite. Strong analytical skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet short turnaround times. International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Physician to provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. This role involves collaborating with healthcare staff to address the medical needs of patients, promoting health and well-being within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promotes health, disease prevention, and comprehensive health care in accordance with current accepted medical practices and procedures.
  • Clinical services may be provided via virtual means.
  • Collects comprehensive medical and social history to include a review of all body systems.
  • Conducts physical examinations, initial and follow-up assessments for acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Examines, orders, and performs appropriate diagnostic testing and provides necessary treatment and/or medications and other therapeutic interventions as required.
  • Administers or directs administration of both curative and preventative inoculations.
  • Provides clinical assessment and treatment.
  • Ensures that proper evaluations and treatments are carried out and documented.

  • Fully utilizes health services for treatment, rehabilitative, and diagnostic modalities.

    • Ensuring clinical and staffing standards for clinical practice are consistent with current evidence-based research and professional standards.
    • Offering recommendations regarding improvements needed in clinic administrative operations and clinical operations.
    • Offering recommendations to improve patient outcomes.
    • Planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating clinical services policy, guidance, and training. Development and contributions to annual revisions of national, evidence-based Clinical Practice Guidelines/Guides as needed.
    • Participates actively in Health Services medical training programs. Assists with training for clinical staff, support services personnel, and peer professional staff.
    • Works with and is assigned to various committees and serves as a team leader for specified functions as needed.
    • Provide remote and/or on site continuing medical education standing curriculum and relevant clinical issues.
    • Participates in the development and implementation of clinical activities, initiatives, and strategies for new medical and other clinical projects and initiatives, as well as modifications of ongoing activities.
    • Assist with physician interviews, orientation and mentoring, peer reviews and other duties requiring medical expertise.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:
  • Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Correctional clinical experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five years clinical practice with direct patient care preferred.
  • Have knowledge of a wide range of complex patient care concepts, principles, and practices to perform assessments of considerable diversity to include mental health, medical, surgical, ambulatory, and emergency care.

  • This position is considered hazardous duty.

Additional Information

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.

**Qualifications**
+ Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from a medical school that is Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) accredited.
+ Completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited residency or have provided direct patient care as an independent practitioner within the last three (3) years.
+ Graduates of a foreign medical school are required to possess both a Medical License and Certification by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
+ Possess a current unrestricted license from any one of the 50 U.S. States, the District of Columbia, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
+ Minimum of one (1) year experience, post-graduate training
+ Possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA). BLS must include Hands-On skills session.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Possess computer skills necessary to access and update electronic medical documentation, access and respond to e-mail communications, and use internet sites as required to obtain information on medical issues. This includes keyboard data entry of all medical record entries, consults and applicant medical processing
+ Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with all parties and other providers
+ Ability to effectively plan and utilize time while administering judgement and demonstrating sound decision-making skills
+ Possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity
+ Ability to complete Genesis training requirements for medical documentation
+ Experience in collecting, organizing, recording and communicating, while taking health histories and administering mental health screening questionnaires
+ Knowledgeable of diagnostic procedures related to a variety of medical and health care fields to include obstetrics and gynecology, otolaryngology, pediatric, orthopedic, internal medicine and mental health
