Description:
Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
First timers are not accepted.
Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics.
Full compliance is required to start on time.
Failure to be compliant in time may result in a push back of two weeks due to orientation scheduling.
Candidates will undergo a clinical screen to determine clinical fit.
If candidates pass the clinical screen and meet guidelines, they will be sent to the manager for final decision.
Availability for holidays is required, with expectations outlined for major holidays.
Flexibility to other locations, units, and shifts is preferred.
References from two supervisory roles are highly preferred at the time of submission.
Maximum requested time off is seven days.

APP Pulmonary Critical Care Night/WEO
JOB PURPOSE:
Serves as a member of the critical care team by assisting in management of critically ill patients in the hospital. Applies specialized skills and knowledge related to ICU, CCU and CVICU settings in which they practice. Contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients within institutional guidelines and utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards under the supervision of the patients physician.
Obtains patient health histories and completes physical examinations and documents findings in accordance with hospital requirements.
Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, explaining the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patients, patients family, staff and healthcare learners.
Performs approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based upon patients clinical status and documents procedures in accordance with hospital requirements, including obtaining arterial, venous, and capillary blood samples, urine samples, sputum samples and cultures; performing cardiac output measurements, other hemodynamic measurements and EKGs; assisting with the performance of radiographic studies; assisting physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; etc.
Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation and external cardiac massage; airway management including bag and mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation and extubating, changing, positioning and repositioning endotracheal tubes; administration of life supporting drugs according to established protocols; and defibrillation according to Advanced Cardiac Life Support standards.
Under physician direction and within the credentialing standards of the Hospital, inserts and manages arterial catheters, dialysis catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, chest tubes, thoracenteses, endotracheal tubes, and extraglottic devices.
Interfaces patients with monitoring and instrumentation equipment, and directs and educates others in performing the same functions.
Formulates and implements a treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s) and documents in medical records and appropriate narrative summaries.
Assesses patients for changes in status and institutes appropriate interventions, including initiation of necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patient.
Incorporates clinical research findings in the development and implementation of standards of care.
Supports IRB approved clinical research/trials though a variety of activities including but not limited to: obtaining consent; ordering diagnostic tests; recording laboratory and diagnostic results; administering therapeutic interventions; and documenting and reporting patient outcomes including toxicities or adverse events.
Performs and participates in quality/performance improvement activities and clinical research.
Serves as a clinical expert and education consultant to nursing, members of the healthcare team and to the larger community.
Identifies educational needs of the family and participates in teaching opportunities.
Assesses educational needs, plans, provides, and evaluates educational programs for nursing staff, interdisciplinary healthcare team, and community.

The Medical Director provides physician support to Enterprise Clinical Services operations, the organization responsible for the initial clinical review of service requests for Enterprise Clinical Services. The Medical Director collaborates with Enterprise Clinical Services leadership and staff to establish, implement, support, and maintain clinical and operational processes related to benefit coverage determinations, quality improvement and cost effectiveness of service for members. The Medical Director's activities primarily focus on the application of clinical knowledge in various utilization management activities with a focus on pre-service benefit and coverage determination or medical necessity (according to the benefit package), and on communication regarding this process with both network and non-network physicians, as well as other Enterprise Clinical Services.

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $238,000 to $357,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
