Description:
Minimum experience of 2 years is required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
The patient population includes adults to geriatrics.
Patient diagnoses include but are not limited to NSTEMI, abnormal EKG, abnormal stress tests, Type 1 MI, shortness of breath, cardiogenic shock, coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, end-stage renal disease, and diabetic ketoacidosis.
Special equipment utilized in the unit includes Impella, IABP, EKOS, Penumbra, Inari, CSI, Shockwave, temporary pacers, FFR, IVUS, Medrad (Power Injector), and Swan Ganz Catheter.
The unit typically has 3 rooms and manages 20-25 patients per day.
Unit systems used include Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR.
Scrub color is provided by the facility.
Travelers are expected to work every other weekend.
Floating may occur within all sectors of the Cath Lab.
Call requirements include 9-10 shifts per month.
Travelers are expected to work during major holidays as required.
Compliance is mandatory; full compliance is needed to start on time.
Clinical screening will determine clinical fit.
Candidates must complete core items within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start.
Return travelers are encouraged to have one successful assignment outside of the previous facility prior to rebooking.
Modules completed during orientation are non-billable.

**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Primary responsibilities involve receiving medical claims from HCPs or patients, ensuring the adequate supporting documentation has been provided, interpreting the EOB/CMS1500, vetting the claim against program specific business rules and ultimately determining if the claim should be paid or rejected
+ Exceptional organizational skills are required
