Position SummarySeeking a Mechancial Engineer to assist with a project over the next four months. This position is full-time working hybrid (required to work on-site 2 days a week). The ideal candidate shoulod have experience with PipeFlo, performing stress analysis for piping systems, pipe sizing and reviewing vessel drawings.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the managing of the technical documentation of the facility including the transfer of all project and design documentation and drawings from engineering / construction companies.
Serve as project manager and/or design engineer on capital projects. Responsibilities include cost estimating, equipment selection and specification (electrical, instrumentation, and industrial control systems), contract bidding, field oversight, start-up and commissioning.
Provide engineering support at various aspects of servicing, repair and maintenance of the facility including its comprehensive Distributed Control System.
Make recommendations for future expansion projects with reference to adequacy, operability, safety, maintainability, etc.
Review and recommend modifications and changes in the facility's equipment and / or procedures and coordinate the process of change.
Assist in the development of Quality Programs, the Risk Management Program and the Process Safety Management Program.
Represent the client with outside agencies and customers as needed.
Ability to work in the outside elements.
Good physical fitness, including but not limited to the ability to walk through uneven terrain and to climb stairs and ladders. Furthermore, because the facility and adjoining facilities handle hazardous material, the labor force must be able to evacuate quickly from any location of the facility without assistance in an emergency.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Education RequirementsBachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering.

Hatch is seeking a Mechanical & Piping Engineers in Pittsburgh, PA. The Mechanical & Piping Engineer will be part of an engineering team providing engineering services to large and small projects. The Senior Mechanical & Piping Engineer is broadly responsible for establishing system requirements, performing functional analyses, defining design criteria, preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, data sheets and reports. In addition, the Mechanical Engineer is required to develop, or provide input into, 3D models and 2D drawings.
The Mechanical & Piping Engineer reports to the Lead Mechanical Engineer on a large project and to the Project Manager or the Engineering Manager on a small project. The Mechanical & Piping Engineer may supervise junior engineers, intermediate engineers, designers, technicians and technologists on a project. Mentor young engineers as part of their career development programs.
This position reports to the Regional Manager, Mechanical & Piping.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Engineering Manager/Lead Mechanical Engineer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.

Perform system analyses, establish user requirements, analyze system functional and performance requirements, define design criteria, and establish system layouts and designs.

Prepare engineering calculations such as hydraulic modeling, stress analysis, equipment sizing and tank, pressure vessel and bin design and ensuring that all analyses satisfy user and system requirements.

Prepare technical specifications based on input received from other disciplines.

The Mechanical / Piping Engineer position is responsible for researching, specifying, developing, designing, engineering, or testing components, equipment and/or systems in a multi-discipline engineering and design team. Responsibilities
- Researches and analyzes data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution required.
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience, with oil and gas industry experienced ; and
- Engineer in Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam .
Senior Engineer

The base pay range for this position is $ 86,000 to $122,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on September 19.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.

Burns & McDonnell is seeking to hire experienced Piping Engineers for our Oil, Gas & Chemical global practice. As a Piping Engineer, you will work on project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments throughout the refining, midstream, chemicals and renewables market sectors. Our Piping Engineers work on project teams throughout the design and construction process, adapting piping plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs. Our Piping Engineers support the execution of multi-disciplined EPC projects that range in value from $1MM to > $2B.
Responsibilities to include:
+ Development of project deliverables such as Design Basis, Coatings and Insulation Specifications, Piping Stress Analysis packages, Pipe Material Specifications, Procurement Specifications, and all associated material reports.
+ Working with buyers to develop purchase orders to support the procurement of all project piping materials, including participating in kickoff and pre-fabrication meetings to ensure vendor alignment with project documents.
+ Establishing the project quality and NDE requirements for all piping materials and working with Supplier Quality to ensure all materials are supplied and fabricated per code and owner's engineering standards.
+ Drawing and design development will be by others, but the Piping Engineer will be responsible for reviewing all piping drawings to ensure code and owner's standards compliance, and that flexibility and structural integrity requirements have been met with associated pipe stress analysis.
+ Applies strong knowledge of commonly used piping engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the piping engineering services industry.
+ Performs field inspections, measurements or calculations at client jobsites.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. May also have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. A Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering may substitute for 1 year of experience.
+ Minimum of 3 years of mechanical piping engineering experience required, consulting experience strongly preferred.
+ Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
