Piping DESIGN SUPERVISOR - PIPING

Location: Marinette, WI
Duration: Permanent / Full-Time

Our client, a global Defense Manufacturer for the US Navy, is looking to add a Design Supervisor to their Piping team in Marinette, Wisconsin Team.

The Design Supervisor's purpose is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities within the assigned Detail Design Piping department.
Individual MUST have piping experience preferred in the Ship Building industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Detail Design Pipe Supervisor directly supervises 10 to 15 employees
  • Facilitate communication of issues and solutions throughout the organization
  • Hire, train, develop and evaluate resources to support department workload including:
    • Standard process updates and reviews
    • Group process enhancement and improvements
    • Internal customer (manufacturing) processes producibility improvements
  • Interface with peer Engineering Managers (Functional Supervisors, Detail Design Supervisors, Project Engineers, etc.) as required to assure proper group support is being made available to the rest of the Engineering Department.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate resources and activities within the department
  • Estimate, schedule, and monitor assigned work and the work of assigned resources
    • Track and report progress to budget and schedule commitments including:
    • Weekly schedule meetings and reviews
    • Weekly performance progressing
    • Customer and Engineering Changes
  • Prepare, check and issue high quality deliverables (Drawings, models, work packages, etc.)
  • Interpret contract requirements (Statement Of Work, Build Specifications, Regulations, etc.)
  • Develop contract change documents to support the project needs
  • Define, track, and control subcontractor activities
  • Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
  • B.S. in either Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related Engineering discipline.
    • In lieu of a B.S. degree, a minimum of 15 years of directly applicable industrial experience specific to the marine application of design and implementation of the design.
  • The Detail Design Pipe Supervisor must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience with groups of up to 10 people.
  • Professional Engineering licensure is preferred but not required.
  • The Detail Design Pipe Supervisor must be familiar with typical Regulatory Body Requirements associated with the shipbuilding industry (i.e. ABS, DNV, 46 CFR, U.S. Navy Gen Spec, and U.S. Coast Guard).
  • Must be eligible for a Security Clearance
  • Personal competencies should include complex problem solving, and dispute resolution skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
  • Strong 3D Modeling and processing skills.
    • Knowledge of ShipConstructor or equivalent software
    • Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor particularly in time-critical or resource-challenged scenarios.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; the ability to professionally and formally communicate (via written correspondence) is a prime skill.

We are looking for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join our Gas & Oil team in Northbrook, IL. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in Northbrook, IL.
+ Determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction.
+ Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites. Initiates communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services.
+ Follows up on contacts from clients.
+ Communicates with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, convey project cost, and negotiate completion date and sample requirements.
+ Acts to address client concerns and to resolve client issues.
+ Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services. Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.
+ Is familiar with applicable standards, company manuals and appropriate technical literature.
+ Examines samples for compliance with UL requirements and notifies client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.
+ Coordinates laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, scheduling and reviewing work of laboratory technicians and engineering assistants and establishing completion dates.
+ Coordinates administrative aspects of project management.
+ May serve as Project Handler of record and/or Reviewer of record as assigned.
+ Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
+ Prepares Follow-Up Service Procedures and information pages.
+ Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
+ Resolves engineering issues associated with Variation Notices by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the variations.
+ Assists in the development of UL requirements.
+ Assists in developing special test methods and test equipment.
+ Analyzes test program for adequacy and sequence.
+ May coordinate and/or perform File Reviews, as directed.
+ May represent UL at industry related functions such as seminars and trade shown. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
+ Performs other duties as directed.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000-85,000.00 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

**Overview**
We have an exciting opportunity for a senior level Account Executive to sell the full suite of Cognizant's services and solutions into named client organizations. This role will have responsibility for pursuing 12 to 20 major lines of business within Oil & Gas verticals. Accounts will typically be oriented geographically to location but may include marquee accounts throughout the U.S. Service offerings will include: Application Development & Maintenance, Business Process Outsourcing, ER&D, and Information Technology Outsourcing. The Account Executive will work with a client partner and team that will support all Sales pursuits. An offshore team will support targeted marketing into designated accounts.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Pursue 12-20 major accounts. Accounts are both new logos and existing accounts focused on hunting activities
+ Act as the account lead on assigned accounts, setting the sales strategy, and taking overall responsibility for developing and nurturing the client relationship
+ Drive growth through hunting new opportunities
+ Build and manage client relationships. Manage the shaping and closure of opportunities on assigned accounts, leveraging Cognizant specialists to support as necessary
+ Serve as day-to-day contact for the client where there is thin coverage of Client Partner support
+ Scale accounts at pace
**Required Qualifications**
+ Minimum 10 years' experience selling consulting services Oil & Gas industries.
+ Minimum 8 years' experience working for a Global Consulting Firm, Onshore/Offshore sales with minimum of $14M annual quota. (This may vary depending on the maturity of the Vertical that the AE is selling)
+ Minimum 5 years' experience selling similar Service Offerings - Applications Development & Maintenance, Business Process Outsourcing, and Information Technology Outsourcing
+ Demonstrated success selling deals in the $ to 50M range
+ Demonstrated consecutive quarterly and yearly quota achievement in complex selling environments utilizing a solution selling model
+ Bachelor's degree

+ Advanced degree (MBA or Masters)
+ Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts and to lead and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
+ Must be detail oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignments
