**NOTE:** During 90 day probationary period, role is considered "Entry-level Utility" and earns: $4.71 per hour + shift differential if applicable.
**Sign on Bonus:**
500 after 90 days,
500 after 6 months,
500 after 1 year and an additional bonus after 2 years

**The Job You Will Perform:**
+ Safely operate a **sit-down powered industrial truck (PIT);**
+ Pulls orders and stock to Work In Process (WIP) area.
+ Maintains Work In Process area in a neat and orderly fashion.
+ Maintains forklift/pull pack on a daily basis.
+ Maintains baler.
+ Responsible for managing the waste of the department.
+ Follows proper lock-out/tag-out procedure;
+ Maintains housekeeping standards at all times.
+ Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.
+ Keeps appropriate records and reports (complete forms, logs, inventory and records accurately - as required).
+ Follows all safety rules and practices at all times; and
+ Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
**The Skills You Will Bring:**
+ **Minimum of 2 years PIT experience**
+ **Previous PIT operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor intensive work experience is required**
+ **Corrugated industry manufacturing environment preferred**
+ **Know what a monotrol pedal is and how it operates**

+ Be computer literate and effectively use scanning equipment and arranging for the transportation of products
+ The ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.

+ Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment;
+ Load and unload trailers;
+ Complete pre-start PIT maintenance inspection report;
+ Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedure;
+ Complete receiving report to accurately record materials received;
+ Submit receiving reports after trailer is unloaded;
+ Complete load sheet to accurately record the grades, bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments;
+ Complete and submit load sheet at completion of shipment;
+ Understand and follow load pattern according to trailer, railcart
+ Follow all safety rules and practices at all times; and
+ Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Job Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced, bilingual PIT Operator to safely transport materials throughout the warehouse using powered industrial trucks. This role requires strong attention to detail, forklift certification, and the ability to manage inventory efficiently while supporting production and shipping operations.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, verify, and transport materials to and from machines, loading docks, trucks, and storage areas
  • Retrieve production schedules or shipping orders and fulfill orders accurately
  • Understand loading schedules and machine capacity to deliver materials efficiently
  • Secure materials and wrap pallets for safe transport
  • Report any material issues, loss, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in compliance with safety guidelines
  • Assist with basic service of equipment and report maintenance issues
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update activity logs
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position directly reports to the foreman. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in front line production functions and maintenance.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION.
  • Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
  • Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies to assure that environmental, health and safety are the first priority.
  • Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist as needed to improve EHS.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Excellent people skills and have high potential for strong leadership development
  • Able to handle multiple responsibilities at one time and must be able to deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach
  • Communicates effectively and timely with staff.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy and organized at all times.
  • Trains and coaches other employees when needed.
  • Performs other duties as time permits or as assigned.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to work all shifts including weekends as needed.
  • Work is outdoors in hot and cold conditions, moisture and rain, sun, including extreme temperatures.
  • Position involves walking, standing, sitting, bending, climbing stairs, and operating various equipment and portable plants.
  • Exposure to noise and dust, which may require use of hearing and respiratory protection


Additional Requirements:
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
