Meadow Gold has an immediate job opening for a skilled Plant Maintenance Mechanic , responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets. This position ensures the continued operation of machinery and equipment in an electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and hydraulic capacity by completing planned and unplanned maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems.
Schedule:
3rd Shift: 9pm - 5am, Mon - Fri
$28.73 per hour
GENERAL PURPOSE
Demonstrate full proficiency in maintenance/mechanical activities to ensure that all equipment is operating effectively and efficiently. Perform general maintenance, preventative maintenance, over-hauls, modification, fabrication, welding, and/or mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. Work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused on complex and/or new assignments. Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform maintenance and/or repairs (planned, unplanned, emergency) on production, processing, and packaging equipment as well as utility related equipment or systems, following all safety procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance; perform routine inspections of equipment for assessment of reliability and performance
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Support the installation of new equipment
• Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime
• Complete work orders in a timely manner, while maintaining high quality standards
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
• Ensure all repairs are documented. Complete all paperwork clearly, legibly, and accurately with required information. Document all required information in accordance with standard operations procedures
• Stay up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Exhibit the ability to anticipate parts requirements for the tasks, follow proper purchasing procedures, and acquire parts ahead of anticipated task performance
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Crafted Highlights: In the role of an Plant Maintenance Mechanic working at the Coors Brewery in Golden Colorado you will be part of the Packaging Maintenance team, supporting Production Operations. You will be responsible for playing an important role in ensuring that our production facility is running smoothly so we can make as much of our great beer as possible.
Must have sufficient experience in an industrial maintenance environment. Skills must include the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues, including corrective adjustments, timing changes, modifications, and part replacements in a timely manner to improve production efficiency. Must be able to respond to breakdown calls, while also balancing planned preventative and corrective work.
This position reports to our Equipment Specialist Leader. This position is a 4x4 schedule on Graves (6:00PM - 6:12AM), plus overtime support for openings and multi-day maintenance jobs.
What You'll Be Brewing:
- Must have the necessary drive to improve plant performance through input and support of assigned line's long term reliability strategy.
- Works to reduce unplanned downtime by completing assigned work, documenting work in SAP, identifying necessary improvements to equipment and preventative maintenance plans, and involvement in Root Cause Analysis, and working collaboratively with Maintenance Planners.
- Be a resource for to the Production team, Instrumentation Controls Electricians, the quality team, and others to help solve recurring problems.
- Assist in the training of new employees and creation of new SOPs, quick-fix routines for the breakdown process.
- Contributes to a safe workplace by performing all tasks in safe manner, demonstrating the use of safety equipment, and in accordance with Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out safety rules, codes, policies, and regulations.
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Experience with fabrication of parts using basic shop tools (Drill Press, Arbor, Cutting torches, saws), welding (Stick/TIG/MIG) ability is a plus.
- Must be able to read and understand manual and drawings.
- Able to work in team environment.
- The position also involves frequent stooping or crawling in cramped quarters and underneath equipment.
- Routine lifting of 50 pounds is normal practice.

What You'll Do:

This position is devoted to maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plant(s), dams and lift stations. Employee will perform a broad range of paraprofessional work ranging from routine to specialized corrective and preventative maintenance to treatment plants, dams, pump and lift stations.
Responsible for receiving work orders and stocking vehicles with necessary supplies and tools for work; performing preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance to water and wastewater facilities including repairs and rebuilds of pumps, motors and gearboxes; fabricating parts; repairing clarifiers, grit collectors, scum troughs, belt presses and GBTs; testing equipment or removing equipment for rebuild at the shop; cleaning and/or washing down the work area; performing work using welding, rigging, millwrighting and various tools and machinery; and serving as emergency standby responder on a rotating basis. Position may need to order parts, speak with technical representatives, via phone or in person, and work with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) representatives on various pieces of equipment.

Overview:
Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate performance of routine in reference to a daily preventative maintenance schedule in and around the laundry facility.
• Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to Maintains all plant equipment to include high-volume industrial washers and or dryers. Repairs replaces equipment when necessary; Performs basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work. Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues by following technical manuals and schematics; Order necessary parts, tools, and equipment in a timely manner by following company procurement policy; Maintains a proper Daily Schedule Control for equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance schedule and record; Conduct daily removal and processing of waste solids generated from treatment process; Performs equipment troubleshooting, makes necessary repairs, and completes preventative maintenance and housekeeping practices for all related wastewater hardware; Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities; Uses safety precautions, follows electrical lock-out tag-out procedures for equipment, and adheres to all safe work practices and policies for all safety, boiler, and wastewater treatment procedures; Other duties as required or assigned
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical aptitude; Familiar with standard maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, and proper safety techniques; Basic knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and required codes; Ability to comprehend and perform all required training, written, and verbal instructions; Good verbal and/or written communication skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Ability to meet attendance schedule; Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends. Overtime is required as needed.
• Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
Work is performed in a high-volume production warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions; Requires the ability to routinely move, lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs; Requires bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, and lifting; Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations; Requires standing and walking for long periods of time; Must be able to work from elevated heights using ladders, mezzanines, and aerial lifts.

What You'll Do:
Promote Safety. In accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards, take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times.
Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment. Perform repairs and maintenance throughout the plant including screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, and water pump service. Perform cutting, grinding, and welding as needed.
Inspect Equipment and Structures. Perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations, maximize production, and minimize interruptions.
Monitor Processes and Materials. Monitor and review the plant, specifically various aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas to identify problems and ensure safety and materials compliance.
Document and Record Information. Enter and maintain service and lubrication reports for the plant equipment used to ensure up-to-date preventative maintenance.
Perform General Physical Activities. Perform a variety of tasks that assist with the operation of the plant, including cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsSkills You'll Need:
Experience. Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.
Flexibility. Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED preferred

Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks

Minimum one year experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility, preferably food and beverage industry

Minimum one year experience with one or more technical experiences: Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and/or HVAC

Minimum one year experience with a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Must be able to handle basic hand tools

Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift; occasionally required to climb or balance
