Plant Operations Support Specialist
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Contract: 6 Months - Possible Extension
Pay: $25/hr
Position Overview
This role serves as a key resource providing administrative support to multiple front-line operations supervisors. The position is based at operational facilities and will focus on supporting maintenance and people management activities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform accurate data entry of work order information into SAP, including emergency work order entry.
+ Manage the maintenance work order lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
+ Coordinate parts ordering and organization of maintenance work assignments.
+ Partner with planners to update, print, and distribute job plans.
+ Document and enter safety documentation and standard operating procedures.
+ Provide Kronos auditing and attendance management support, including correction of missing punches, identifying attendance issues, and entering vacation/leave time.
+ Maintain and track non-confidential employee records in Workday (union dues, training records, qualifications, and seniority).
+ Support job requisition management, job changes, and transfers in Workday.
+ Enter and modify schedules and work rules in Kronos.
+ Manage service award program, including validation of eligibility and award distribution.
+ Support new hire onboarding processes (IT setup, PPE distribution, orientation scheduling).
+ Complete and manage access requests, IT service requests, and company cell phone requests.
Qualifications & Requirements
+ 1-3 years of administrative experience (operations or industrial environment preferred).
+ Familiarity with maintenance and planning workflows.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
+ Experience with SAP, Maximo, Kronos, and Workday strongly preferred.
+ Strong listening, comprehension, and communication skills.
+ Ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multiple functional areas and facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for coordinating accounts payable, payroll, production and plant reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Reconcile the daily production operating reporting.
  • Handle and record all receipts and verify the accuracy of related invoices and process them for payment.
  • Account for all in-plant fuel usage and prepare quarterly reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely account reconciliation and assist with month end close.
  • Prepare various financial accounting reconciliation, analytical, and statistical reports.

  • Understanding of KRONOS Payroll System and provide support for payroll entry.
  • Maintain regulatory and vendor files.
  • Understanding of SAP system and makes entries throughout system.
  • Respond to vender inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
  • Purchase requisitions and receiving.
  • Provide Site Specific Hazard Awareness Training.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven skills and experience in financial/managerial accounting.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office; Experience with Kronos and SAPS preferred.
  • Results-oriented style, strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal, management, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to simultaneously perform a multitude of varied tasks.
  • Must be a team player.

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
