The P-4 Thermonuclear Plasma Physics Group is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in experimental high-energy-density (HED) physics.
The P-4 Plasma Physics group conducts a broad range of research, including hydrodynamics, radiation transport, opacity, radiation hydrodynamics, inertial confinement fusion (ICF), magneto-inertial fusion, and magnetized fusion energy in support of the laboratory. We perform experiments on large- and small-scale experimental facilities, including the National Ignition Facility (NIF), the OMEGA laser facility at the University of Rochester, the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS), the Advanced Photon Source, and other facilities around the world.
For this position, we will try to match candidate skills with available projects. Depending on the project, this position will include fielding experiments at OMEGA and/or NIF, data analysis, and diagnostic development in support of our ICF and HED experiments.

The Applied Mathematics and Plasma Physics group is seeking qualified graduate students to join our research teams. The position is open to students who will be actively enrolled in a graduate program throughout the duration of their appointment. Summer positions are also available to graduating undergraduates who have been accepted into graduate programs for Spring 2026. Selected students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 in their graduate studies. While most students participate in the program for a 10-12 week period over the summer, there are opportunities to participate during the spring and fall semesters or year-round. This position is open to students who will be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program throughout the appointment. Summer positions are also open to graduating undergraduates who have been accepted into graduate programs in the Spring of 2026 under a separate posting. We are seeking qualified candidates to join the Theoretical Division (T-Division) at Los Alamos National Laboratory. T-Division offers a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration in support of the Laboratory's strategic basic research and national security missions. Within T-Division, the Applied Mathematics and Plasma Physics Group (T-5) conducts cutting-edge research in areas such as novel algorithms, numerical methods, and theoretical modeling. Applications span a wide range of fields, including fusion and high energy density science, space plasma physics, astrophysics, numerical analysis, machine learning, computational imaging, optimization, artificial intelligence, environmental science, and the modeling of critical infrastructure systems such as gas pipelines and electrical grids.
The selected candidate will work closely with mentors and other collaborators to develop a high performance multidimensional electromagnetic kinetic plasma solver into a state-of-the-art multiphysics GPU production code. The work will involve developing new numerical methods that leverage modern tensor decomposition techniques, time integration strategies, and adaptive mesh refinement to enable full system scale kinetic modeling of extreme-scale DoE applications. A strong background in plasma physics with emphasis on kinetic models and high performance computing (HPC) is preferred. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of a third-year extension contingent on performance and available funding.

**Mondelēz International R&D Interns quickly learn through on-the-job experiences** and are afforded the opportunity to work on substantial and meaningful projects that contribute to the business. Interns are provided with a network of mentors, peer and experts to aid in the development of their food technology and professional skills.
Each intern is assigned a supervisor who designates projects and provides guidance. Team building and networking events are held throughout the summer with the intern class. Interns will be assessed, during their internship on overall performance, including functional skills, project management and personal leadership skills.
**Requirements and Preferred Qualifications**
+ Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in: Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Food Science, Nutrition or other related degrees.
+ Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with a preferred expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
+ Statistical Analysis (MiniTab, JMP, SAS, or similar statistical software/language)
+ Analytical and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
+ Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Mondelēz International (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status.

**Compensation**
+ The expected compensation weekly pay ranges for interns is $940 - $1,300 based on your expected graduation date.

Job Summary:
The Operations Technologist role involves autonomously setting up, completing sanitation and running equipment for trials. He or she exhibits strong customer service for various ITQ platforms. In this role, you will be providing support to various platforms with a focus on the Cereal platform.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operates equipment, understands food safety requirements and ability to perform risk assessments
- Human and Food Safety Leadership:Can lead teams through projects / efforts to find and resolve safety risks.
- Maintains skills on multiple unit operations / systems; mastery is present on some systems. Can run systems with efficiency / Can teach on some systems. Knowledge and capability drive incremental value to customers. Can train others.
- Leads equipment sanitation activities with capability to inspect following sanitation. Leader in more complex system setup.
- Maintenance/Electrical/Controls with a technical focus
