The PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Programming Specialist will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems for industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming and a thorough understanding of industrial manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop PLC programs using ladder logic, structured text, or other programming languages to control machinery, equipment, and processes.
- Configure and integrate PLC hardware, including selecting appropriate PLC models, I/O modules, and communication interfaces.
- Design and implement HMI (Human Machine Interface) screens and operator interfaces for monitoring and controlling PLC-based systems.
- Conduct thorough testing of PLC programs to verify functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems to diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.
- Document PLC programs, wiring diagrams, and system configurations accurately and comprehensively.
- Provide technical support and training to operators, maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
* HS/GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, automation or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Proven experience working as a PLC Programmer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs from leading manufacturers such as Allen-Bradley
- Strong understanding of PLC programming languages, including ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
- Experience with PLC hardware selection, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols
- Knowledge of HMI software (e.g., Wonderware, FactoryTalk) and SCADA systems a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot server stack hardware errors, including hard drive failures.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with installed Wonderware InSource applications.
+ Develop and deploy graphic changes to existing HMI screens using pre-defined objects.
+ Ability to replace and configure new HMI machines.
+ Write scripts to automate tasks, perform data analysis and enhance system functionalities.
+ Monitor system performance, data integrity and communication health to identify and resolve issues.
+ Analyze system logs, alarms and alerts to diagnose faults and anomalies and implement corrective actions.
+ Successfully provide phone support to field technicians to resolve issues remotely.
+ Update online database worklogs to reflect all efforts.
+ Conduct operator training on system usage as needed.
+ Conduct backup operations to the extent of being able to fully restore the system on loss of data.
+ Travel up to 70% in support of training and troubleshooting efforts, including out of country.
+ Report status updates to Operations Managers.
+ Attend and contribute to program tier meetings.

Basic Qualifications
+ U.S. Citizenship
+ Ability to pass a NACLC security background check
+ Proficiency in time management, including managing correspondence and priority scheduling.
+ Working knowledge of industrial control software (specifically Wonderware), server rack with RAID array architecture, SCADA system configuration, database management and HMI setup.
+ PLC Programming and troubleshooting (specifically Schneider and GE)
+ Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) effectively for daily administrative tasks and project support.
+ Experience with control system networking technologies and PC networking technologies
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Active or previous security clearance.

Roles and Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot server stack hardware errors, including hard drive failures.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with installed Wonderware InSource applications.
+ Develop and deploy graphic changes to existing HMI screens using pre-defined objects.
+ Ability to replace and configure new HMI machines.
+ Write scripts to automate tasks, perform data analysis and enhance system functionalities.
+ Monitor system performance, data integrity and communication health to identify and resolve issues.
+ Analyze system logs, alarms and alerts to diagnose faults and anomalies and implement corrective actions.
+ Successfully provide phone support to field technicians to resolve issues remotely.
+ Update online database worklogs to reflect all efforts.
+ Conduct operator training on system usage as needed.
+ Conduct backup operations to the extent of being able to fully restore the system on loss of data.
+ Travel up to 70% in support of training and troubleshooting efforts, including out of country.
+ Report status updates to Operations Managers.
+ Attend and contribute to program tier meetings.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
+ U.S. Citizenship
+ Ability to pass a NACLC security background check
+ Proficiency in time management, including managing correspondence and priority scheduling.
+ Working knowledge of industrial control software (specifically Wonderware), server rack with RAID array architecture, SCADA system configuration, database management and HMI setup.
+ PLC Programming and troubleshooting (specifically Schneider and GE)
+ Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) effectively for daily administrative tasks and project support.
+ Experience with control system networking technologies and PC networking technologies
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Active or previous security clearance.
+ Current possession of a government CAC.
+ BSE or related Software Engineering degree from an accredited university, or commensurate experience.
+ 5+ years of experience designing and programming control systems with emphasis on PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
+ Modicon PLC programming experience a plus.
Target Salary Range
$77,900.00/year to $97,300.00/year DOE
