Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Plumbing Contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial settings. This role requires a proactive individual capable of leading projects, supervising junior staff, and ensuring all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map out the layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals and non-metals.
Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems, including water heaters, boilers, and other appliances.
Diagnose and repair issues such as leaks, clogs, or system malfunctions.
Conduct pressure tests to identify leaks and ensure system integrity.
Ensure all plumbing work adheres to local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
Conduct inspections and system testing to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Provide training and mentorship to apprentice and journeyman plumbers.
Coordinate with other construction team members to integrate plumbing with other building systems.
Prepare and provide detailed cost estimates for clients.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including reports and documentation.
Respond to emergency plumbing calls and provide timely solutions.
Qualifications:
Valid Plumbing Contractor license.
Extensive experience in plumbing within the commercial sector.
General Maintenance experience a plus.
Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and plumbing standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
