Podcast & Content Manager
Hybrid: New York City
Salary range: $80,000-$00,000 + share options
Reporting to: Head of Brand Marketing
About us
Duel is a SaaS company on a mission to make Brand Advocacy the industry standard philosophy for building brilliant retail brands. It was founded by world record-breaking adventurer and former brand ambassador Paul Archer, alongside viral games developer Naio Tsarouchis. We exist to show that companies built for advocacy can change the world. In today's hyper connected world in which social media is now twice the size of all other media channels combined and entirely user-generated, the most successful brands are the ones investing in people and in community, not in ads.
The Duel Brand Advocacy Solution allows enterprise brands to do just that.
We have onboarded over 60 influential brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Charlotte Tilbury, Spanx, Victoria’s Secret, LUSH and Elemis. The Duel team's global presence includes offices in New York City & London. Our team of 60+ is composed of psychologists, brand experts and community builders, combining cutting-edge brand expertise with seasoned SaaS experience.
We raised $16 million dollars to accelerate international growth, and equip brands with the solution needed to build relationships with thousands of advocates, customers, creators and brand ambassadors.
The Role
At Duel, we don’t just build, we build once and scale everywhere.
This is a founder-led strategic content role with a flagship focus on podcasting. You’ll own the podcast eco system with our Founder & CEO, Paul Archer, producing episodes, slicing and distributing them so they travel far and wide. You’ll embody a scrappy, in-the-moment mindset, equal parts production lead, and strategic distributor.
You’ll have agency support at your disposal, but the quality, consistency, and growth of what we put out there? That’s all on you.
Relationships. Content. Ideas. Frameworks. If it’s worth creating, it’s worth making it impossible to miss. At Duel, we believe in creating once and distributing everywhere with precision, scale, and intent. Every piece of founder-led content should work harder, travel further, and reach the people who matter most. We’re looking for a Podcast & Content Manager, who doesn’t just make great content, but builds a distribution engine, one that takes Paul’s insights, conversations, and ideas and turns them into unmissable moments across every channel our ICP lives in.
Your mission? Build Paul’s profile as the voice of Brand Advocacy through creative, efficient, and flawless scale distribution that ensures our category-defining message reaches, engages, and stays with our audience, everywhere they look.
We’re looking for someone who will…
Run the show. Own and grow two in-house podcasts. Building Brand Advocacy and a new trend-focused podcast you’ll drive in-house.(with agency firepower)
Move fast. Handle guest research, booking, prep, recording logistics, editing oversight, and publishing, so episodes go from idea to live in hours, not days.
Make it seamless. Run remote and live recordings so guests and hosts focus on the conversation, not the tech.
Demand better. Manage and push our external production partners to level up quality every time.
Keep things moving. Liaise with editors and freelancers to keep post-production tight, on time, and flawless.
Squeeze every drop. Slice podcast content into high-impact blogs, clips, articles, and social posts, long-form and short-form that travel.
Spot the hooks. Develop and spin up content ideas on the fly, targeted to our ICP and influencer networks.
Tell the story. Publish frameworks and narratives aligned to the Brand Advocacy book, Duel’s POV, and Paul’s founder journey.
Run the rhythm. Own the editorial calendar, briefs, and feedback loop with Paul turning founder insights into a consistent, repeatable content engine.
Distribute like hell. Build and optimise our distribution machine using CLAY, influencer networks, targeted ICP sequences, and unconventional channels.
Own the long-form game. Manage a long-form content system for Paul across LinkedIn, Substack, YouTube, and articles.
Roll out the red carpet. Create remarkable guest experiences from first contact to post-launch follow-up.
Grow the audience. Develop smart, scrappy amplification strategies that make us unmissable to our ICP.
Track what matters. Monitor performance, guest impact, and how our podcast content fuels the wider brand ecosystem.
Balance the bold and the bottom line. Keep one eye on creative possibilities and the other on commercial impact.
We’d love to hear from you if…
You have 5+ years experience producing or managing a personal, business or founder-led podcast.
Strong project management skills in a fast-paced content production setting.
Familiarity with Substack and building newsletter audiences.
Experience launching and managing guest booking systems.
A track record of creative content ideation and execution that delivers measurable impact.
You know how to grow an audience, not just press “publish.”
You’re obsessed with getting content in front of the right people, and you’re not afraid to use unconventional, scrappy, or experimental distribution tactics to do it.
You can work hand-in-hand with the wider marketing team to keep calendars, campaigns, and launches in perfect sync.
You know how to leverage AI and systems to move faster, work smarter, and scale impact.
You can launch new content formats and audience engagement initiatives without waiting for permission.
You’re constantly shaping audience growth strategies with fresh, innovative distribution methods.
The Dueligan Culture
We want to build a remarkable company with remarkable people and a remarkable culture that you will want to shout from the rooftops about. Advocacy is our north star, both for our customers and our employees.
A High Trust, Tight Ship, full of Utterly Lovely & Bloody Brilliant People doing their Best Work Together
We value trust and freedom above all else. Yet this must be combined with deep ownership, execution, and clear, candid communication. If this is not how you are at Duel, or you break that trust, you will not be around for long.
Dueligans combined are the largest shareholders in Duel. We take that concept of ownership seriously.
In-person and remote working balance .
We do much of our best work as a team together in the office, which is why we are only hiring people within a commutable distance of our London or New York offices. However, we also know that we do our best work alone at home, and we all need to be able to balance work with life, childcare commitments, and other responsibilities. The office philosophy is hybrid, where you're encouraged to be in the office a few days a week, namely when your team will be there.
However, the name of the game with everything we do is freedom and flexibility. So you do, as long as it's not at the expense of others.
Duel Perks and Package
We have a growing benefits package, including;
Flexible working hours - if you need to fit around childcare or life, we understand.
Generous Official holidays, but we trust you to take what you need: 25 PTO Days + 11 Statutory Holidays + End-of-year break (3-4 additional days depending on dates)
Options scheme for all full-time employees - it’s important to us that everyone shares in what we build.
US Healthcare Options
401K Match Plan
Company MacBook
$350 WFH Set-Up
Headspace Contri utions
Personal Development budget and support
2 additional days leave for volunteering
