POSITION SUMMARY:
The Poker Lead ensures employees are providing excellent customer service and supervises poker room personnel working in their respective areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Preserves the integrity of the games by providing close oversight of employees and guests in their respective areas, while continually maintaining observation for dealer/player misconduct.
- Offer input to the Casino Manager to help make the card room more successful.
- Enforces performance standards, policies, and procedures related to Poker games, ensuring compliance with the gaming regulations.
- Enforce and support company policy with knowledge and understanding of all Running Aces approved Poker Games, while holding extensive knowledge of department processes.
- Ensure that only authorized personnel use computer for company business only and that gaming equipment is being used by authorized personnel.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Supervises dealers, Podium Host, and all other card room personnel to ensure proper performance of duties.
- Assumes all responsibilities of poker room personnel, including, but not limited to, board, running chips and dealing games when necessary.
- Ensures all gaming equipment is returned and secure; never leaving cash, chips, tournament chips, cards, etc. unattended.
- Suggest alternative games to players if their first choice is not available in an effort to get players included in all games.
- Constantly observes the sign-up board and making sure that all procedures are followed when starting games or breaking games to ensure that all dealers are treated fairly at all times.
- Ensure the Shift Manager is contacted to validate all Poker Jackpots.
- Maintain positive customer relations, evaluate play and extend complimentary services when appropriate.
- Maintains knowledge of current Casino promotions.
- Maintains a visual presence on the casino floor at all times.
- Ability to make impartial and unbiased decisions surrounding problems and/or errors.
- Communicate to Shift Manager any irregularities or discrepancies that occur on a table or with a guest.
- Ability to effectively coach individuals on company and departmental policy/procedure violations.
- Must know and adhere to all game protection policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years floor and/or dealing experience
- Dealing and training experience of all varieties of Stud, Hold'em, and Omaha
- Must be able to work in crowded and noisy environments
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and noisy conditions, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
- Must maintain a calm and patient attitude when coaching individuals or while handling difficult customers and employees.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
- Must have high patience level to be able to train individuals
- Must be able to handle difficult customers and employees

- Sells and redeems chips for poker players.

Delaware North Gaming is searching for full-time and part-time Poker Dealers to join our team at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. As a Poker Dealer, you will be responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to poker players.

**What will you do?**
+ Deal cards to players and ensure wagers are placed before cards are dealt
+ Announce winning hand to players and pay winning bets
+ Verify beginning and ending chip and money balances and confirm supporting documentation
+ Receive fills, distribute credits, and exchange paper currency for playing chips
+ Monitor the game and notify the supervisor of any concerns
**More about you**
+ Must be 21 years of age or older
+ No high school diploma or GED required
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a state gaming license
+ Minimum of 1-2 years' of professional poker dealing experience in a similar setting required
+ Demonstrate the standard level of skills, knowledge, and performance in the various types of poker games offered
**Physical requirements**
+ Sitting, reaching, and pulling a majority of the shift
+ Ability to lift to 50 pounds
