We are seeking Campus **_Security Officer II_** . Responsibilities include uniformed patrols and crime prevention services to protect life and property; offering proactive support of student and staff initiatives; development and maintenance of a positive rapport with students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding neighborhoods. **Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Patrol assigned areas on foot, bicycle, Segway Human Transporters, T-3, Patrol Vehicles or any other vehicles assigned for patrolling.
+ Actively participate in crime prevention and community policing activities.
+ Respond to routine and emergency calls for various types of service and take action as appropriate.
+ Conduct preliminary investigations, maintain confidentiality while writing clear, concise and accurate reports.
+ Conduct security inspection of university facilities and areas, reporting conditions as may be necessary.
+ Direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic and enforce campus parking regulations as needed.

Responsibilities include providing protection and security for facility personnel, patients, visitors, and property through security and safety patrols, crisis intervention, investigation into minor crimes and accidents, and serving as a visual deterrent to potential problem situations. You will participate in safety programs and provides support to all departments. **Minimum Qualifications:** High School or equivalent. Current Hawaii Guard Card License. Current American Heart Association Heart Saver - AED CPR Card. Six (6) months of security experience or experience in related field.
**Preferred Qualifications:** Hospital security experience. International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Health Care Security Officer Training Certificate to be obtained within one year of hire. Teamwork Awareness Prevention Course to be attended within one (1) year of hire.
