Position Summary:
ALTA IT is seeking a passionate and principled Responsible AI Policy Lead to join our client's newly formed Data Factory team. This pivotal role will be part of the Chief Technology Office and report directly to the Manager of Governance and Compliance. The Responsible AI Policy Lead will ensure that the development and deployment of AI capabilities across the enterprise adhere to Responsible AI Framework and align with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
This role requires a highly engaged and collaborative professional who can work across business units, cybersecurity, and technology teams to embed ethical, transparent, and accountable AI practices into the organization's digital transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Policy Leadership
+ Develop, maintain, and evolve Responsible AI Policy and associated governance artifacts.
+ Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory frameworks, including the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
+ Governance & Oversight
+ Collaborate with the Governance and Compliance team to integrate Responsible AI principles into broader data governance practices.
+ Establish and monitor controls to ensure AI systems are fair, explainable, secure, and privacy-preserving.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Partner with business units, cybersecurity, legal, privacy, and technology teams to assess AI use cases and ensure compliance with Responsible AI standards.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on ethical AI practices across the enterprise.
+ Risk Management
+ Identify and assess risks associated with AI models and systems, including bias, transparency, and accountability risks.
+ Support the development of risk mitigation strategies and incident response protocols for AI systems.
+ Training & Enablement
+ Lead awareness and training initiatives to promote understanding and adoption of Responsible AI principles.
+ Develop guidance and tools to support teams in implementing ethical AI practices.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Ethics, Law, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in AI governance, data ethics, compliance, or related roles.
+ Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their societal and organizational impacts.
+ Familiarity with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and other relevant standards (e.g., OECD AI Principles, EU AI Act).
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills:

**Responsibilities**
+ Develop, maintain, and update our global policies focused on policy requirements for age appropriateness and child safety. Evaluate the risk profile of new products and features.
+ Understand and clearly communicate the risk landscape and regulatory requirements unique to minors as viewers and child safety. Influence cross-functional stakeholders and company executives regarding proposed content policy efforts.
+ Negotiate and find optimal policy solutions balancing safety, product reach, and growth objectives. Understand and clearly communicate the policy challenges and needs presented by new features and emerging global online content risks.
+ Propose new strategies and policies to improve Trust and Safety's product market fit to the evolving needs as well as our ability to scale our enforcement.
+ Work closely with global teams to ensure effective operationalization of global policies.
