The Silica manufacturing team is accountable for the manufacture of all silica used in our HPLC columns. The team is responsible for on-time production of material meeting both quality and manufacturing efficiencies at Newport, DE .
Responsibilities:
- Follows documented procedures to ensure material is produced safely and to specifications.
- Handles hazardous chemicals safely wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and maintain a safe work environment.
- Sets up and operates equipment in the manufacturing area according to procedures and work instructions.
- Completes all required documentation accurately and provides samples to Quality Control for material testing. Good communication with supervisor and team on the progress towards completion of daily and weekly schedules.
- Responsible for performing a variety of technical duties in one or more of the silica manufacturing areas.
- Conducts tests, experiments and/or problem resolution associated with our processes/systems
- Works with technical group to troubleshoot chemical and process issues.
- Provide feedback to supervisor and team lead on safety, quality, interpersonal and process-related issues. Actively participate and contribute to continuous improvement.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities:**

Work with the Engineering Department to design equipment according to Recognized And Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP). + PROBLEM SOLVING Learn and apply appropriate problem-solving strategies to deliver defined objectives to meet business needs. **Education and Experience:**
