Job Summary
Under general supervision, leads construction projects as the Owner's representative. Provides extraordinary customer service and management of building construction and renovation projects. Responsible for timely completion and financial outcome of construction projects in a team environment that includes the Owner, design professionals (architects/engineers), general contractors, sub-contractors, Owner's departmental personnel, project inspectors and other team members. Ensures Owner satisfaction and overall success of assigned projects.
Job Responsibilities- Provides effective construction management of assigned projects by coordinating all pre-construction and construction activity on these projects, including project design, development of construction documents, preparation of project estimates and budgets, receipt and evaluation of project proposals, site observation of construction, budget and schedule management, project close-out and post construction issues such as warranty or latent defect claims- Ensures Federal, State, and local laws and codes concerning health, safety, accessibility, and the environment are rigorously adhered to in the programming, design, and construction of facilities projects- Provides project oversight and quality assurance inspections to ensure construction work aligns with contract documents, safety requirements, scheduling and budget requirements- Leads internal and external customers, contractors, professional service providers and project collaborators - Committed to continuously improving the quality and value of service provided to customers. Strives to exceed customer expectations by ensuring all communication to customers is responsive, and respectful- Must be able to work safely in a construction environment and be able to fully tour construction sites in order to monitor progress and adherence to the projects' construction documents- Contributes to a safe work environment by quickly reporting accidents and unsafe working conditions. **About the Role:**
The Construction Technician-Line Worker is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining poles, cables and conduits; installing aerial and buried cables with associated hardware as required to build jobs; the running of fiber optic, copper and other necessary cable in the telecommunications space, both aerial and in underground infrastructure, such as manholes; maintaining the safety of the crew by providing direction regarding procedures, road safety, manhole safety, attending safety meetings as requested; maintaining material inventory, DOT vehicle inspection; operate heavy machinery; and other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, splicing copper and fiber cable and any tasks associated with splicing cable. The job will include work on weekends, holidays, standby and unscheduled hours, and overtime. Travel is required and may be over 50% of the year depending on the business needs. This is a safety sensitive position.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Install, repair, and maintain poles.
+ Install aerial cables (fiber and copper); set-up service for customers, installing, connecting, testing, or adjusting equipment as requested.
+ Measure signal strength at utility poles, using electronic test equipment.
+ Inspect or test lines or cables, recording and analyzing test results, to assess transmission characteristics and locate faults or malfunctions.
+ Access specific areas to string lines or install terminal boxes, auxiliary equipment, or appliances, using bucket trucks, or by climbing poles or ladders, or entering tunnels, trenches, or crawl spaces.
+ String cables between structures and lines from poles, towers, or trenches and pull lines to proper tension using jacks, hoist, and other equipment as necessary.
+ Pull up cable by hand from large reels mounted on trucks.
+ Lay underground cable directly in trenches or string it through conduits running through trenches/manholes as requested and required.
+ Pull cable through ducts by hand or with winches.
+ Ability to use a variety of construction equipment to complete installations, such as digger derricks, bucket trucks, back hoes, trenchers, or cable plows.
+ Dig trenches for underground wires or cables.
+ Understand staking sheets and blueprints.
+ Perform work in accordance with industry standards. Be familiar with RUS standards, read and follow design engineers' instructions and specifications, maintain the scope of work on the project and adhere to safety procedures.
+ Prepare engineering field notes. Interpret buried underground and aerial telecom facilities in records, on maps and in the field with clarity and detail and make recommendations for changes in running line or construction methodologies.
+ Participate in engineering, permit and construction processes as required.
+ Perform routine maintenance. Recognize and repair route issues including but not limited to, and hole cleanup, sign placement, and weed control as required.
+ Fill and tamp holes, using cement, earth, and tamping devices.
+ Splice copper and fiber cables and tasks associated with splicing.

**Location: West Montgomery, Texas**
**Pay Range: $16.00/ hr with guaranteed overtime pay!**
**Monday through Saturday**
**7:00am to 6:00pm**
**What's the Job?**
As a General Laborer Worker, you will assist in various demolition projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Your construction background will be invaluable in performing physically demanding work, operating tools and equipment, and following safety protocols.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
+ Prepare sites by clearing debris and performing site clean-up.
+ Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Perform basic construction tasks such as dismantling, loading, and sorting materials.
+ Support skilled tradespeople and supervisors as needed.
+ Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and environmental practices.
Previous experience in construction or demolition is preferred.
Must have the ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
