**Description**
The Pricing Director provides pricing strategy and execution leadership for all Electronics & Controls to maximize pricing effectiveness.
**As the Pricing Director, you will:**
+ Lead the Electronics & Controls pricing team
+ Manage the Electronics & Controls (E&C) pricing processes, including Latin America and Canada
+ Manage the Electronics & Controls (E&C) pricing team to ensure price issue resolution and process improvement implementations
+ Maintain price tracking mechanisms for the E&C business, including monthly reporting of pricing impact to the business in Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) reviews
+ Provide detailed dynamic models to aid long term customer agreement negotiations and develop tools to effectively communicate results
+ Report out monthly on price attainment and price forecast by segment
+ Provide ad-hoc data analysis
+ Provide leadership in the overall strategic planning as it relates to pricing, anticipate future pricing opportunities or potential losses, and accurately assess the impact to the business
+ Provide pricing leadership to support the Long-Range Planning (LRP) Process, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and quarterly commitments (QCR)
+ Lead pricing system changes with assistance from IT
+ Participate in cross functional projects
+ Establish structure and manage long-term agreements (LTA) with customers
+ Support sales teams with face-to-face customer negotiations and pricing justification support
+ Maintain material, rebate, tariff, wage, freight, and other price adjustments
**Strategic responsibilities:**
+ Assist business leaders in developing pricing strategy and key initiatives to ensure:
+ Alignment with business objectives including price volume tradeoff decisions
+ Align pricing mechanisms to execute defined pricing strategy - maintain participation, vs take share vs. trade up
+ Look for pricing opportunities - Considering reaction of other original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and other customers to help drive price strategy
+ Work with sales, product management and executive leaders to execute strategic price actions:
+ Help establish price targets that are set based on market value of offering with consistent logic to set target margins based on market and competitive conditions
+ Conduct support analysis to help ensure price actions are based on a clear framework for customer pricing across segments, channels and regions including guidance on pricing flexibility within each group
+ Put measurements in place for regular monitoring of price realization relative to targets with discounting policies defined to minimize leakage and support the strategic pricing models
+ Implement pricing systems and structure to ensure:
+ KPI's are in place and establish dashboards for regular tracking and management.
+ Standardized reports are available
+ Data is in a central hub with market intel systematically informing price setting with tools aligned and optimized to drive designed pricing processes
+ Well-defined end to end pricing execution and coordinated processes across all segments of the business unit (BU) including defined escalation paths and exception rules
+ Develop flow chart and VSM to define price processes and to ensure strategy pricing and pricing operations are functioning effectively (i.e., how to move from LTA to production, material price actions, and other pricing processes)
+ Establish and lead a Pricing Leadership Council
+ The council should include BU President and key Finance, VP/GM's, Sales and Product Management executives
+ Provide the council with information to review price strategy alignment with business objectives, review impact of price actions, assess impact of future price strategies and approve price discount guidelines and exceptions
+ Convene the pricing council on a regularly scheduled cadence to review ongoing pricing strategy and execution activities or on a case-by-case basis when large deals or new product pricing are in play
+ Present proposed large list price changes, when proposed discounting is outside of established thresholds, or other exceptional circumstances
**Required education, experience, and skills:**
+ Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data management or similar degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 10 years of experience managing pricing and/or pricing related topics such as finance and IT
+ Ability to establish and maintain multilevel relationships with all areas of the organization.
+ Strong strategic and analytical skills
+ Strategic and analytical tool kit
**Preferred education, experiences & skills:**
+ Masters' degree
+ 15 years of related experience
+ Pricing architecture experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key member of Area Staff responsible for managing and executing pricing strategy for area, including recommending and adjusting local pricing for area and implementing center-led initiatives.

Responsible for executing the Net Margin Routine as outlined in routine RACI to ensure stakeholder input and action on factors that affect Net Margin (NTGP) key results.
Responsible for understanding and providing guidance on balancing the margin impact of promotional pricing to area financials.
Manage escalated pricing queries from Area Pricing Analyst or other associates.
Collaborate with sales leadership on TM training for pricing strategy.

Provide pricing recommendations to support bids and new customer pricing.

Previous leadership experience
Strong managerial (individual direct report or team) experience
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Demonstrated strong executive presence and ability to communicate and influence across functions and senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to execute strategy.
Proven experience working with and supporting sales teams; strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook
Able to access information within established pricing databases and/or analyze available data.
Less than 25%; expectation to visit each DC within Area per Area President guidance with potential overnight stays. Other travel as needed.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $95,000-$155,000.

Key Role:
Lead a team of pricing professionals, build upon and assist with the transformation of the pricing organization, strategically and operationally, to help drive continuing and future growth. Maintain responsibility for pricing and cost estimating for the US government procurements, and act as a lead for providing pricing strategy and business guidance for products and as-a-Service solutions in an emerging business environment. Collaborate with solutions and client service leaders as they develop and manage products, solutions, and associated marketing and sales strategies. Develop and assess pricing and business strategies, and lead the development of solution-type proposal practices and tools. Assess and recommend strategies in the context of reseller agreements, teaming, and subcontract agreements. Monitor pricing performance for competitiveness and business performance, and escalate problems that may impact competitiveness, performance, or execution. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal clients and colleagues from a variety of functions, including Product or Client Service Team Leaders, Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, People Services, and CTO. Drive the organizational construct and align pricing capabilities to the complexity and priorities of the company. Maintain responsibility for talent management, development of pricing and cost estimating strategies, and ensuring compliance against a client-approved cost estimating system. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of experience with developing competitive price proposals for all US federal government contract types in a professional work environment
5+ years of experience working and developing pricing solutions and as-a-Service type of contracts
5+ years of experience with successfully managing and leading a pricing function of scale with responsibility for recruiting, including developing and retaining professional staff
Experience with all aspects of price and cost proposal preparation, including business risks, pricing strategies, compliance, and estimating practices for the US government and for commercial and international clients, and products and solutions
Experience with selecting and managing complex software pricing tools
Experience with developing or delivering price strategy presentations or analyses, and training to executives and key decision makers
Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally within a matrixed environment with senior executives, business development, PTW, contracts, global supply chain, finance, legal, people services, CTO, and other key stakeholders
Bachelor's degree

Knowledge of system integration and the use of information technology and advanced intelligence systems, and tools
