Key Responsibilities :

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal Pricing & Strategy
- Lead all pricing efforts for scope changes, recompetes, and new business across contract types (FFP, T&M, cost-plus)
- Develop competitive pricing strategies with business leads and capture teams

- Write compelling cost narratives and manage proposal documentation

Essential Experience:
- 3-6 years total professional experience in pricing, finance, or business operations
- Federal pricing experience strongly preferred (1-2 years direct experience ideal)
- Advanced Excel expertise: complex formulas, financial modeling, pivot tables, what-if analysis, and advanced functions
- Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
- Understanding of federal cost accounting standards and contract types

+ Manages a complex portfolio of assets or liabilities with a primary focus on developing and executing pricing strategies. Performs duties relating to tax management as needed, including, but not limited to, the knowledge of and the ability to utilize tax laws, organizational tax practices, obligations, issues and trends.
+ Leads pricing strategy with joint accountability for results with key partners. Applies business insight and pricing tools to optimize pricing, including risk-based strategies for lending. Identifies and shares best practices with team members.
+ Develops and utilizes reporting and insights to present strategy recommendations and results to senior management. Surveys and analyzes the competitive landscape continuously to identify risks and opportunities. Oversees ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting.
+ Manages rate exception process and strategy and provides guidance to front-line employees and managers. Creates, develops, executes and tracks exception rate policy and compliance. Leads policy enhancements.

What you'll be doing:
* High profile role designing and managing the build of an ambitious future state for Property pricing that includes improved data pipelines, external data sources, comprehensive underwriting dashboards, and predictive models; work directly with the short-tailed underwriting units to establish consistent and comparable technical pricing across all Sompo businesses globally
* Support the development of market leading pricing systems to improve the operation of pricing models, data storage and integration with underwriting systems to increase competitive advantage in the global property arena
* Provide leadership in continuing to build and evolve the global property analytical ecosystem: develop standards, pricing methodology, techniques, and/or design tools to, e.g. measure rate change, tier renewals, evaluate the level of insurance to value, manage capacity, allocate capital and reinsurance costs, etc.
* Foster strong relationships with regional teams to ensure consistent and effective implementation of global pricing policies
* Coordinate the annual planning process across property business units and technical staff to ensure global consistency
* Work closely with underwriting and pricing leadership to support the curation of a high-quality portfolio, identify strategic growth opportunities, and shape underwriting best practices
* Develop & maintain a suite of performance monitoring reports that provide management insight into the health of the global property products
* Support the development of reinsurance strategy and build compelling reinsurance submissions
* Support the development and curation of data as a business asset
What you'll bring:
* Minimum of 10 years of property and casualty insurance experience.
* FCAS or near-FCAS preferred, or equivalent work experience / industry credentials
* Strong knowledge of pricing and portfolio techniques / industry best practices
* Highly organized and self-motivated with proven ability to prioritize projects and execute to deadline
* Track record of success in business-facing roles, well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to communicate to and work productively with a non-technical audience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
* Self-motivated and able to operate independently within a fast-paced, multi-tasked, global organization

Salary Range: $185,000- $260,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
